The new Lego Fortnite Battle Bus and other brick sets are sold out on the official Lego website and at other retailers, following high demand.
The real life Lego Fortnite sets were first announced in July 2024 and launched in the UK on October 1st.
They include the following:
- Durrr Burger (£12.99, 193 pieces)
- Supply Llama (£34.99, 691 pieces)
- Peely Bone (£89.99, 1,414 pieces)
- Battle Bus (£89.99, 954 pieces)
All of these are currently on back order on the official Lego website, with the Lego Battle Bus now shipping by February 21st 2025, the Peely Bone shipping by February 12th and the Durrr Burger shipping by January 15th.
The Lego Fortnite Supply Llama is the only set available online this side of Christmas, with it shipping by December 18th 2024.
However, the Lego Battle Bus and other items are filtering through to official Lego stores in the UK, in dribs and drabs. 87 were sent to the Lego Bluewater store just this morning, and staff expect them to be sold out by tomorrow. Your best bet is to call your nearest store for the latest availability information.
When the sets first launched, Lego said they would be available ‘exclusively from LEGO Stores and LEGO.com/Fortnite‘. However, they have since been listed on other retailer sites including Very, Smyths Toys and The Minifigure Store, where they are all currently out of stock.
There are some listings on reseller sites such as eBay, where the Lego Fortnite Battle Bus set is being listed as high as £200, more than twice its usual price.
Reddit users have also been posting threads about them finding it difficult to get physical stock.
Lego has also been working with popular British content creator Ali-A on promoting the sets, with the creator appearing at a meet-and-greet at London’s Leicester Square Lego store. He has also appeared in the game with his own digital minifigure.
Esports News UK reached out to Lego representatives, but did not receive on-record comment.
The sets also include a download code for a bonus digital item, the Lego Fortnite Operation Brite Starter Pack, for the in-game Lego Fortnite mode. This mode first launched a year ago, in December 2023.
The news comes as new social roleplay game ‘Lego Fortnite Brick Life’ launches in-game on December 12th.
It also comes as the in-game mode was renamed to Lego Fortnite Odyssey today (December 10th), after a new multiplayer split-screen mode recently went live.
A new Storm Chasers update lets players battle against a new Storm King boss, and the progression system and crafing systems have also been updated.
The Lego Battle Bus is also reminiscent of another esports-related Lego set: the Lego City Gaming Tournament Truck, which launched last year.
Other gaming sets include a Legend of Zelda Deku tree, while Dungeons and Dragons Lego also launched earlier this year.
