Riot Games has today revealed a new Arcane Fractured Jinx Exalted Skin is in the works and will be priced at up to 32,000RP (£220).

This is a part of the Arcane Season 2 in-game content coming over the next few months in League of Legends and other Riot titles Teamfight Tactics (TFT), LoL mobile game Wild Rift, digital card game Legends of Runeterra and shooter Valorant.

The news comes just after Riot laid off 32 staff, with UK and Ireland staff unaffected.

More on the in-game content below. But first, some details on this new Jinx Exalted skin specifically.

How to get the Arcane Fractured Jinx Exalted Skin

The new ‘Arcane Fractured Jinx’ skin will cost a maximum of 32,000RP (around £220).

It’s the first in a line of new Exalted skins that will use a currency called Ancient Sparks. These cost 400RP each and will be accessible in a new Sanctum system. The release date for the skin is December 11th 2024.

The base drop rate for an Exalted skin is 0.5%, but Riot says you’re guaranteed to unlock it within 80 pulls (making the maximum investment 32,000RP).

The new Jinx skin follows her story in Season 2 of animated League of Legends show Arcane. While the skin itself hasn’t been shown off fully yet, you can check out some VFX in the image at the top of this article.

“Her chaotic energy is brought to the Rift through two distinct models across three different forms and VFX that highlight her story,” Riot said. “Each form also has unique VO that reflects her at that moment in her journey. You can swap between these versions at any point in-game by using a slot-machine mechanic controlled by her Ctrl+5. If you hit big (which is always, because Jinx never loses), you change forms.

“These forms will also be reflected across three HUD overlays for Jinx’s passive, which reflect some of her experiences from Season One and some from Season Two.”

Jinx will also have a new Nexus Finisher, a way to style on your opponents with custom VFX, SFX animations and more, which will be available in the Mythic Shop. This will cost a whopping 250 Mythic Essence, which can be obtained in various ways, one example being buying a 1,650RP event pass and grinding to 2,200 Event Tokens for 125 Mythic Essence.

“At the very end of the match, a randomly selected player from the winning team’s equipped Finisher will play, visible to everyone in the match. While this first one is themed after Jinx and Arcane, future ones will not always be directly related to a skin. You can equip Nexus Finishers for use with ANY champion or skin you have selected. The first Nexus Finisher will be available in the Mythic Shop at 250 ME for the duration of the event,” Riot added.

Riot said in this post that exalted skins ‘are for players who want hyper-exclusive skins’ and ‘the best possible skin for each champion’s unique fantasy within a specific theme’.

“Transcendent, Exalted, and Mythic Variant skins will only make up ~10% of what we’re delivering moving forward, while the majority will be skins you can easily unlock at lower price points,” Riot added.
