London-headquartered esports organisation Fnatic are one of four main invited teams set to compete in the Counter-Strike $1m Thunderpick World Championship 2024.
The others are Heroic, M80 and Falcons, who will take part in the live two-day event in Berlin on November 2nd, hosted in partnership with LVL.
There are also the following six teams who will play in an online group stage from October 21st to 25th: Bestia, BIG Clan, Bleed, Cloud9, Imperial and Team Legacy.

In terms of UK talent in the tournament, Fnatic have UK coach Keita, M80 have UK coach dephh, and Bleed have UK talent Cypher, one of the players who made the legendary run with UK org Into the Breach at the Paris Major last year.
Thunderpick is a global bookmaker that has a Curacao gambling license. It’s technically not accessible from the UK and doesn’t have a UK-specific gambling license.

Organisers have also announced data platform Grid as the official esports services provider and data partner of the Thunderpick World Championship. Thunderpick said in a press release that Grid will ‘enhance the integrity security, and commercial potential of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024’.
This is the second year of the bookmaker’s Thunderpick World Championship. In 2023, the total prize pool was $600,000 and FaZe Clan won the Grand Final. The total prize pool for the CS2 tournament this year is $1m.
Thunderpick has struck partnerships with the likes of Heroic, TheGameHers, CooperTV, Flickflops, Jake Lucky, N0thing, Thorin and others.
