UK esports organisation Guild Esports have announced a new Sky City Fortnite map and Speed Showdown creator tournament with Sky Broadband.
This map was developed by Guild Esports through its creative and production division, Guild Studios, with support from gaming studio UMI Games.
The map (code 9674-9752-3343) is launching alongside an influencer-led campaign and the Speed Showdown, a series of livestream events which allow players to battle alongside their favourite creators, engage in challenges and win real world prizes from Sky Broadband.
Highlights of the tournament will be posted on Guild Esports, Sky UK and influencer channels on a weekly basis.
Guild have enlisted Ruby ‘RubyPlays’ Allenby, a pro Fortnite player and streamer for Guild, to be the face of the campaign.
Sky Broadband has also enlisted gaming creators, Sunpi, Tubbo, Archie and LittleBunny to support the launch and promote the first livestream.
Between them, the creators have more than 17m subscribers across Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.
It’s all part of a marketing campaign with Guild’s ‘Official Premier Partner’, Sky Broadband. The pair have previously collaborated together on the Sky Guild Gaming Centre and Guild Esports x Sky Broadband women’s gaming tournament series, for example.
Jasmine Skee, Guild Esports’ CEO, said:
“We are thrilled to partner with Sky Broadband [on the Sky City Fortnite map and campaign]. With 85% of Fortnite players aged 18-35, this collaboration lets us engage with a key demographic in a new and exciting way.”

“Young people spend almost double their time gaming over any other social channel. This is the new frontier of digital marketing, with active and engaged users having authentic brand experiences.
“We can’t wait to see players enjoy the many unique elements we’ve weaved into the map and to be part of a project that connects and entertains.”
Sunny Bhurji, Sky Connectivity’s Marketing Director, added: “I’m super excited about the launch of Sky City and the Speed Showdown activation as it once again demonstrates how Sky Broadband is essential to its gaming customers.
“It’s a first-of-its-kind tournament that really brings streamers and their audiences together and is all powered by Sky Broadband. I can’t wait to see the players in our Sky City map created in Fortnite.”
The news comes after Man City launched a 1v1 Fortnite map last month.
