Irish esports organisation Nativz have announced their 2024 NLC roster, and it includes a well-known Polish player.
Marcin Wolski, previously known as Selfie, has now changed his gamertag to Nulu for 2024.
He will now be playing in the mid-lane once again, following his most recent coaching stint at Cloud9 between July 2022 and April 2023.
Nulu is an experienced player, having played competitively for more than a decade, with teams including H2K, Echo Fox, Misfits, Rogue and more. He once played with British player Alphari way back in 2016 with Misfits, who once stole a pentakill from him in the now-defunct EU Challenger Series.
Before he was known as Selfie, he went by the name Kori, and was involved in a controversy in 2015 after being threatened by his coach.
Nulu is now joined by top-laner Smurfe, ADC RustySniper, support player Shawi Katami and jungler Jejky (and sub jungler rngu) on the 2024 Nativz roster, which was announced in this lighthearted video below, also featuring NLC 2024 broadcast talent Middlecott.
Coaching staff includes Rnglol, Scotty and Rydona.
Nativz Gaming founder and CEO Kurt Pittman told Esports News UK: “The progress we’ve made in the past six months has been really satisfying. As we enter 2024 I’ve no doubts that we’ve given ourselves an even better base to build further success across the year ahead.
“Managing to retain our staff from last year was critical, it’s enabled us to hit the ground running with purpose.
“The coaching staff took a long list of strong players and began weeks of rigorous trialling. While the competition this year is looking fierce, we’re really pleased with the roster and will certainly give the other teams a run for their money.”
Nativz’ roster announcement comes after UK org Venomcrest announced their NLC 2024 roster, and after fellow UK org Lionscreed addressed past controversies following the leak of their alleged roster.
The UK/Ireland/Nordics EMEA Regional League, the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) spring 2024 season, kicks off on Wednesday January 24th.
