Global online fashion retailer BooHooMan has struck a long-term partnership with UK-based esports organisation Futwiz.
The deal aims to combine the world of gaming and fashion, according to a press release from BooHooMan.
The partnership will kick off on Black Friday weekend, with the EA FC Pro Open starting on Cyber Monday, November 27th 2023, with Vice World Champion Mark ‘Mark11’ Zakhary (pictured) representing the team, showing off the brand new BooHooMan x Futwiz kit.
The event is being held in London and will be broadcast on EA content channels and marketed in-game.
In addition, the collaboration will see Futwiz x BooHooMan work together on a variety of physical and digital branding across the kits, website, content, and socials – with more announcements to come.
The esports organisation made headlines back in July 2023 as Futwiz finished runners-up at FIFAe Club World Cup 2023, and Futwiz were robbed in the FIFAe World Cup 2023 final after a penalty controversy.
This new season marks the first time EA FC 24 introduces a new FC Pro Live in-game campaign built around the FC Pro Open.
The EA Sports FC Pro esports circuit was first announced two monthsa go.
In addition to a program where Mark11 has his own Squad Builder Challenge for a pack and XP, which is now currently available to all players, he has been given an in-game player that will be upgraded based on his performances at the event.
“EA FC 24 offers so many new opportunities and the FC Pro Live campaign is a huge example of that, we can’t wait to get going at the event itself next week and build on our massively successful 23 season to reach new heights in 24 together with BooHooMan.”
Dan Bellis, Futwiz
“We’re thrilled to be announcing our partnership with BooHooMan,” Futwiz said in a press release. “It was very clear from early discussions how ambitious they are with their plans for gaming and content, their exceptional track record with activations speaks for itself so we’re delighted that they have put their trust in us for EA Sports FC.
“This is an exciting multi-faceted partnership that will thrive across all of our platforms – web, social, and content along with the in-game and event activations.”
Dan Bellis, CEO of Futwiz at Wiz Media Ltd, added: “EA FC 24 offers so many new opportunities and the FC Pro Live campaign is a huge example of that, we can’t wait to get going at the event itself next week and build on our massively successful 23 season to reach new heights in 24 together with BooHooMan.”
