Every UK Call of Duty player and coach representing a CDL franchise for the 2023 MW2 season listed

Toronto Ultra's Insight CDL

The full 12 rosters for the start of the 2023 CDL season have been confirmed following the London Royal Ravens 2023 roster reveal yesterday.

There is no shortage of UK talent in the mix, with three of the 12 rosters containing players from the region including Minnesota ROKKR’s Bance, Toronto Ultra’s main AR Insight and more.

London Royal Ravens have dialled back from their ‘full EU’ strategy of seasons prior, to feature three Brits this time. The Minnesota ROKKR also have a trio of UK players.

Minnesota’s roster features arguably one of the greatest UK (and EU) Call of Duty players of all time, Bance, BreakingPointGG’s 16th-ranked Vanguard player Afro and former Toronto Ultra flex and World Championship finalist Cammy.

However, it’s not just limited to players, as plenty of coaching staff and analysts in the league also originate from British shores. Boston Breach’s head coach Zed, former Toronto Ultra and current LAG head coach MarkyB and Boston Breach’s new assistant coach and academy coach Joshh are all from the UK.

Out of the 48 starting spots in this year’s CDL, six of them are UK players, with more taking part in EU and NA Challengers for academy teams – such as the Boston Breach Academy’s Seany and former Toronto Ultra Academy EU player Beans.

Toronto Ultra’s two academy teams both contain UK talent, with Furiious, Vortex and Weeman set to take up their EU Challengers roster. This is alongside their North American Challengers setup, which houses yet another English star in the main roster’s substitute Hiicksy.

Even for franchises who don’t house Challengers rosters, more British talent can be seen via the substitutes bench for a few teams, the New York Subliners substitute WarDy being an example. There’s also the returning UK icon Skrapz to the London Royal Ravens’ setup.

While every CDL 2023 starting roster has been officially announced ahead of the December 2nd season start date, the full list of substitutes has not.

Las Vegas Legion, the Los Angeles Guerrilas, the LA Thieves, OpTic Texas and the Seattle Surge are still yet to reveal their picks – so the number of UK talent could potentially increase.

With that said, below is a current list of all the British talent on show in the professional Call of Duty scene this season:
