UK esports organisation Into the Breach (ITB) have announced some changes to their CSGO roster today.
They’ve added two Swedish players to their active line-up in William ‘Draken’ Sundin and Alfred ‘RuStY’ Karlsson.
Experienced UK players Smooya and Thomas are seeking new opportunities elsewhere, after Smooya joined Into the Breach on a trial earlier this year. Smooya, Dobbo and the team at ITB also won an Insomnia68 CSGO LAN a few months ago.
The final CSGO line-up for ITB going forward will be:
- Adam ‘Adam9130’ Ahmad (UK)
- Cai ‘CYPHER’ Watson (UK)
- William ‘dobbo’ Dobson (UK)
- William ‘Draken’ Sundin (Sweden)
- Alfred ‘Rusty’ Karlsson (Sweden)
- Gustavo ‘Juve’ Alexandre (Coach, Portugal)
- Marvin ‘Punico’ Matthes (Manager, Germany)
Into the Breach say they’ve already played their first officials together prior to the announcement, and won the most recent ESEA Cash Cup 2022 (number three) with four days of practice.
The team’s first International LAN – Assembly Summer 2022 in Helsinki – is approaching. It’ll also be the first international LAN for Cypher and Dobbo, and then at Insomnia69 in August, ITB say they will aim to defend their Insomnia title.
In September, the team are also going to visit Germany for a one-week bootcamp.
‘Everyone is motivated to prove once again that the Swedish and UK combo is an excellent one’
Into The Breach founder Sam Cook said: “We’re stoked at ITB to introduce William ‘Draken’ Sundin and Alfred ‘RuStY’ Karlsson to our active CSGO line-up. This settles a period of instability for us, with Smooya and Thomas graciously playing the role of stand-ins while we figured our overall direction.
“Our core trio of UK’s best upcoming talent in Adam9130, Dobbo and Cypher are now paired with a powerful and experienced Swedish duo. Everyone within the squad is highly motivated to break ground and prove once again that the Swedish and UK combo is an excellent one.
“We’re proud of this new iteration of ITB CSGO and hope CSGO and ITB fans will be excited to watch Draken’s return with a superb squad behind him.”
Team manager Marvin Matthes added: “We are happy to have a stable team again. With the many tournaments ahead of us, our goal is to slowly but surely improve steadily and move higher in the rankings.”
