UK LEC caster Andy ‘Vedius’ Day will make his Valorant casting debut this week as a guest analyst.
He’ll be a part of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA Challengers Week 5 broadcast talent line-up.
The Welshman, a prominent personality in League of Legends esports, said he’s excited to work with the Valorant team and looks forward to learning more about the scene:
Vedius joins fellow UK casting talent including Yinsu Collins, Pansy, RyanCentral, ExWarrior, Tombizz, Hypoc, Irish talent Mitchman and more.
The community responded positively to Vedius’ Valorant move, with other League broadcast talent like Medic and Sjokz wishing him well.
Medic said: “If all else fails, just say ‘pew pew pew pew’. Can’t go wrong.”
Vedius’ mention of Zeri, a new LoL champion introduced at the start of the year, is also in reference to Neon, a relatively new agent in Valorant that’s similar to Zeri.
The Week 5 VCT EMEA matches take place today from 3pm GMT. These will include match-ups such as SuperMassive Blaze versus Fnatic and G2 versus BBL, with more getting underway over the next few days.
Vedius started his career in League of Legends back in the UK scene years ago, casting events like the ESL Premiership, before moving to the EU LCS (now LEC).
He has also worked at MSI and Worlds events in League of Legends, and is part of a casting duo with fellow Brit, Medic, known as ‘MediVedi’.
