The Six Invitational is one of the biggest events in the Rainbow Six Siege esports calendar – and this year’s event will feature a separate EU vs NA charity showmatch as well as plenty of UK casting talent.
This will feature 10 content creators from the Siege community competing for a $50,000 prize pool, which will be fully donated to UK-based charity SpecialEffect, which helps gamers with physical challenges to play.
The Six Invitational 2022 showmatch participants are as follows:
Team EU
- FastAnne
- JostRekt
- Caramelo
- Z1ronic
- JerichoFive
Team NA
- YoBoyRoy
- Macie Jay
- King George
- VarsityGaming
- PacoMGShark
The showmatch match has been pre-recorded and will be broadcast live on stream on February 18th at 3.30pm GMT.
The main aspect of the Six Invitational will see 20 esports teams from across the world do battle for the mantle of the best Siege side. The tournament starts on February 8th 2022, runs until February 20th and will take place in Sweden.
The Six Invitational broadcast talent line-up has also been revealed.
There’s a stacked host of UK talent on board including Dezachu, CaptainFluke, Xrtroika, Fresh, Demo and AceOfPyrite.
A few weeks ago, UK esports organisation MNM Gaming made headlines in Rainbow Six Siege esports yet again by qualifying for the 2022 Six Invitational, after beating Cowana Gaming 3-2 in the Six Invitational Europe Closed Qualifier.
Due to regulations and event restrictions in Quebec, Canada, where the Six Invitational 2022 was scheduled to take place, the event was later relocated to Stockholm, Sweden.
Ubisoft said in a press release: “More than just a tournament, the Six Invitational is a special moment for the entire Siege family, host to breathtaking matchups, community events, and exciting news as the game enters a new year.
“On top of the competition, the event will also feature reveal panels announcing details on the next season of Rainbow Six Siege on February 19th and updates on the future of the game and its esports scene during the Year 7 Roadmap on February 20th.
“Additionally, for its sixth edition, selected streamers and content creators will have the opportunity to provide an extra viewing experience of the Six Invitational on their own channels, as part of Ubisoft’s new online Watch Party Program.”
