UK university esports operator the NUEL and Red Bull UK have today announced their official partnership for the 2019/20 academic year.
This deal will see the energy drink brand provide increased support for student esports and gaming on campuses across the UK. They hope to build on the success of previous on-campus events such as the Red Bull Kumite qualifiers, Red Bull R1V1R Runes and Red Bull Player One.
The new partnership aims to help students improve their events through increased access to resources provided by Red Bull UK, such as equipment, qualification to tournaments and workshop opportunities.
By hosting student events, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in Shoreditch offers societies the opportunity to develop an engaged community that regular participates in experiences. One such event is LANdon, a collaboration between several London universities and The NUEL that takes place at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere.
“We will continue working with Red Bull UK to develop new opportunities to help students grow, build communities, and have fun.”
