Experienced League of Legends support player Raymond ‘Kasing’ Tsang (left) will be playing in the UK scene this week.
The Brit is swapping into the UK League Championship and will be playing alongside Send0o, Taxer, Exile and Innaxe on Wednesday and Thursday evening.
Replacing him this week in the higher-tier League of Legends European Championship (LEC) will be Polish support player Patryk ‘Mystiques’ Piorkowski (right), who has put in some solid performances in the UK League and arguably deserves his call-up.
Kasing explained why he’s swapping into the UKLC this week, while Mystiques shared his excitement to make his LEC debut.
Hey guys; we can’t qualify to playoffs anymore even though our learning curve started getting better towards the end with the right focus/attitude/structure. So I will use this week to focus on the UKLC with the XLA lads and win it this time round 🙂 Thanks for your support! ❤️

Dreams come true. Gonna have my debut at the LEC this weekend ?

The news was broken by Excel Esports head coach Josh ‘Furndog’ Furneaux who posted the full line-ups for this week:

Both Furndog and the org’s strategic coach, Josh “Jarge” Smith, also took to Twitter to clarify that Kasing has not been ‘benched’.
Wanna clear something up: @Kasing has NOT been benched. @MystiquesLOL has been killing it in practice & deserved a chance to get some LEC experience. We want to judge how he performs under stage pressure & ultimately prepare more players for summer – doubling down on the 10-man.

People will get used to our system and we will refine it further, but with our roster none of the changes are us “benching” anyone. We’re developing our rookie talent while utilising the experience and knowledge base of our veterans for the long term success of @excel !

It’s not the first time Excel has swapped players from UKLC and LEC and vice versa, as Special swapped with Exile earlier this split.
Excel announced their ten-man roster late last year and spoke about the unity within the org, exemplified by their slogan: #ThriveTogether.
