Nintendo will be hosting four community tournaments at EGX in Birmingham at the end of this month.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own Nintendo Switch to guarantee access to their own custom loadouts.
There will be a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship taking place on Thursday September 21st, an Arms 1v1 tournament on Friday September 22nd and the Splatoon 2 UK Championship Grand Final on Saturday September 23rd, the finals of which will be livestreamed via the Nintendo UK Twitch channel.
Finally, on Sunday September 24th the Pokken Tournament DX Invitational will get underway.
Nintendo added in a statement: “When the Nintendo Switch Tournament Area is not hosting organised competitive activities as stated above, attendees are free to bring their own Nintendo Switch and use the area to enjoy whatever games they fancy!”
There is no mention of cash prize pools as of yet. However, the Splatoon 2 winners will receive a Splatoon 2 fan bundle including merchandise and an exclusive champion’s jersey.
At i61 last month, Nintendo held similar tournaments:
