Sometimes we’re not about ‘new’ news here at Esports News UK, we just want to highlight UK talent, specifically in League of Legends.
A few months back, UK jungler Luke “Phurion” Brammer (formerly known as Dongs) was featured in a Lee Sin montage video that has been viewed more than a million times.
The video, titled ‘200 IQ Lee Sin’, can be viewed below.
Phurion’s play is the second clip in the video, starting at just after the 20-second mark.
Phurion uploaded the original clip to Reddit a couple of years back. In it he can be seen killing pro player PowerOfEvil in the mid-lane.
Phurion told Esports News UK: “It was awesome when i first submitted the clip because it was the first time I’d ever done something notable in the ‘high elo’ scene.
“It was a great feeling when people would actually recognise me in normal games and say: ‘Aren’t you that guy from Reddit?’
“Part of me wishes I made the play under the name Phurion, but it was great to see the laughs it brought knowing that a guy named ‘Dongs’ was kicking ass.”
Phurion
“Part of me wishes I made the play under the name Phurion but for this reason my past name ‘Dongs’ holds that ever bit more sentiment. Even though the name was a bit more humorous it was great to see the laughs it brought knowing that a guy named ‘Dongs’ was kicking ass haha.”
And so it shall be: Dongs will be forever immortalized.
Dongs is dead.
Long live Dongs.
