Several esports experts – including host Paul “ReDeYe” Chaloner and caster Austin “Capitalist” Walsh – have launched a new esports agency called Code Red Esports.
Code Red will perform consultancy services for major brands, having already worked with Valve, PGL, Ginx.TV, Gfinity and the recent Esports Industry Awards. It will also offer agency services to esports broadcast talent, including those who work on-screen and those who work behind the scenes.
Others involved in the agency include Ben Woodward and Luke Cotton, both formerly heads of ESL UK, organisers of WCS in the UK and the management team from Power Gaming.
Director Paul “ReDeYe” Chaloner says that the demand for top-level esports talent is on the rise.
He said: “I’m extremely excited to be able to advise, help and represent industry talent. Over the last couple of years, demand for high quality talent has gone up, but not always the standards. It’s our goal to work with talent and organisers to help improve professionalism and conditions.
“We are thrilled to have Shane, Beth, Ramesh, Chanel, Ben and Julian join me and Capitalist already with more to come soon.”
“Over the last couple of years, demand for high quality talent has gone up, but not always the standards. It’s our goal to work with talent and organisers to help improve professionalism and conditions.”
Paul added: “We’ve already been working for the last eight months behind the scenes on building the company, and have already gained some incredible clients that we are privileged to have worked with. It is a testament to our expertise, knowledge and passion for esport that these companies trust us to advise them in such a volatile but exciting industry.”
Director Austin Walsh commented: “With the huge growth we’ve seen in the last few years and the increased number of companies wanting to join in the esports revolution, this was the perfect time to form a consultancy that can help newcomers and established brands in esports alike. I’m super excited to help take this forward.”
