Alexander “Raven” Baguley has moved from London Conspiracy to join the ManaLight Hearthstone team.
26-year-old Raven won the Virgin Media Hexathlon tournament at EGX in September, picking up £5,000 and being named the ‘UK’s best gamer’.
UK-based organisation ManaLight was only formed this year, beginning with a Hearthstone team. It hopes that over time it will build teams for CSGO, League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, Dota 2, FIFA and more.
Raven joins fellow teammates Impact, Stacey of Gotham, Modernleper and Powder.
Raven told eSports News UK: “I am really happy to be joining ManaLight as its current squad is full of really talented players, and I look forward to representing them at Dreamhack Winter in a few weeks!”
ManaLight general manager Louis Corps added: “I am extremely pleased to announce that we have signed professional Hearthstone player Alexander “Raven’ Baguley to our roster.
“With ModernLeper’s most recent placements at DreamHack Cluj, ManaLight has taken the opportunity to recruit another UK-based player to strengthen their UK line-up and position itself as one of the strongest UK-based teams in the Hearthstone scene.
“With the signing of Raven we want to show that UK players can offer a lot to the international Hearthstone scene. We also want to establish ManaLight as the strongest UK-based Hearthstone team. Signing players such as Raven and Modernleper will allow us to do exactly that.”
Raven regularly streams on Twitch, and he has also worked as a Hearthstone caster and tournament organiser in the past, casting events such as the Asus Rog Play It Cool 24 Hour Marathon and the WCA EU Qualifiers.
At London Conspiracy, Raven finished third at the Insomnia52 Intel Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Fireside Cup.
We’d like to point out again, that we played with Lutipold – we mean, Raven – from our World of Warcraft days a good ten years ago. We’re pretty sure he’s no longer a noob Paladin.
Best of luck, Raven.
This news was first announced on the ManaLight website.
