NODWIN Gaming partners with Runestone to boost esports integrity

NODWIN Gaming has partnered with Runestone to add real-time monitoring, integrity tools and fan-facing data features across its esports events, starting with the NODWIN Clutch Series in Counter-Strike 2.

The deal puts Esports Integrity and Data Analytics at the centre of NODWIN’s next phase of tournament operations.

That matters because Tier 2 competition is where organisers often need stronger oversight but have fewer resources than the biggest circuits. It is also where concerns around cheating and Match-fixing can do long-term damage fastest.

What the NODWIN Gaming and Runestone partnership involves

According to reporting from European Gaming, the partnership launches with the NODWIN Clutch Series and is designed to support both tournament administration and audience engagement.

Runestone, the Prague-based technology company, will provide infrastructure for live data monitoring and integrity oversight as NODWIN scales its global portfolio.

The confirmed scope includes:

  • real-time match data tracking
  • integrity monitoring designed to flag suspicious activity
  • interactive viewing features built around live data

NODWIN has not publicly detailed every enforcement layer, but the direction is clear: stronger data-backed checks around competitive play, particularly in Tier 2 CS2 where emerging players, smaller orgs and betting attention increasingly collide.

That pitch makes sense, especially with Runestone already established elsewhere in Counter-Strike through work highlighted by Esports Insider.

The partnership arrives just after NODWIN Clutch Series 5, a $50,000 (~ÂŁ39,000) online event won by BIG after a 2-1 grand final over ECSTATIC.

For NODWIN, that gives the rollout an immediate competitive home rather than a vague future target.

What NODWIN Gaming and Runestone said about the partnership

Teemu Koski, Chief Business Officer at NODWIN Gaming MENA and Global Head of Data Monetization, said the company sees integrity and transparency as essential to sustainable esports ecosystems, particularly in Tier 2 competition.

He added that Runestone’s expertise in real-time data and integrity infrastructure should help NODWIN strengthen tournament operations while creating richer experiences for fans, with room to expand into new IPs, regions and formats.

Michael Schwartz, Head of Partnerships at Runestone, said NODWIN has built one of the more dynamic ecosystems across emerging markets and that the shared focus is on sustainable competition.

He said combining NODWIN’s event operations with Runestone’s tools should bring greater transparency, deeper fan interaction and scalable support for future tournaments.

Esports integrity and the case for data-driven oversight

This is part of a wider shift across the scene. As Esports News UK recently covered in the Milkyway League of Legends investigation, integrity work increasingly depends on evidence trails, statistical review and fast operational response rather than reactive statements after the fact.

Counter-Strike has been having its own enforcement-heavy year too, with Valve’s latest moves against abuse covered in our report on CS2 bot bans.

NODWIN’s move also fits its broader growth ambitions as a tournament operator, following expansion signals seen elsewhere in the ecosystem such as the EWC 2026 Club Partner Program.

Next up, the obvious checkpoint is the next NODWIN Clutch Series events and whether Runestone’s systems become visible in how incidents are monitored, flagged and communicated.

If the partnership works, the real test will be simple: cleaner Tier 2 tournaments, better trust in results and a clearer path to expand beyond Counter-Strike 2.
