The Esports World Cup Foundation has announced Trackmania as the final game to be part of the Esports World Cup 2026, joining as part of a “multi-year partnership.”
Trackmania joins the panoply of games to feature at EWC 2026; 24 games in total will feature, including League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and Chess.
Trackmania’s addition confirms that StarCraft II will not feature at EWC, further damaging the foundational esports’ declining relevance.

Trackmania at Esports World Cup details
Trackmania at the Esports World Cup will feature 32 players. The group stage will see four-player lobbies compete in a double-elimination format, with the top eight from each group advancing to single-elimination playoffs.
Eight of those players will make it to Riyadh through an in-game Open Qualifier. Ubisoft Nadeo have stated that the details for the Open Qualifier will be announced on January 26.
As is typical of smaller esports at EWC, the prize pool will be vastly larger than the normal prize pool for Trackmania events.
In a move typical of the EWC, the prize pool is more than 24 times the size of the Trackmania World Cup 2025, which had a prize pool of $20,500.
Fabian Scheuermann, Chief Games Officer, Esports World Cup Foundation, stated:
“Giving it a truly global esports stage with a world-class production and a significant prize pool is a watershed for a community that’s spent more than two decades shaving thousandths off community-built tracks.
Together with Ubisoft Nadeo, we will connect players, from grassroots to pros, to a world final, and turn the invisible drama of splits and ghost replays into an experience anyone can feel, as anyone at home can load the same map and measure the gap for themselves.
This is Trackmania stepping into the pinnacle of esports, validating its culture, attracting pro teams, and inviting a new generation to fall in love with competitive racing at its most honest.”
