The ALGS Year 6 calendar has been confirmed, with several details already provided for 2026’s Apex Legends events (and the early 2027 Championship).
Here is what EA has revealed so far about the upcoming competitive season:

The first LAN of the season will be the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. It will be held at the Esports World Cup, as was the case with the 2025 ALGS Midseason Playoffs at the EWC. Naturally, due to its EWC integration, the tournament will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This time, the EWC-hosted LAN will feature a new format that involves a round-robin Group Stage, a “Survivor Series,” and a Match Point Final.
More information will likely be revealed by EA and the EWC closer to the event.
After Split 2, there will also be a Split 2 Playoffs. This LAN tournament will be held in Las Vegas. Although marking the ALGS’s first time in the city, it brings the ALGS back to the USA for a second year running after 2025’s ALGS Open.

Finally, as was confirmed in EA’s multi-year Sapporo deal, the ALGS Championship will return to the same stadium in Japan that set the stage for Oblivion’s 2026 Year 5 ALGS Championship win.
These three LAN tournaments mark a return to the Split Playoffs format established by EA in 2023 and 2024.
While 2025 altered the format to hold the ALGS Open and a Midseason Playoffs, the season structure did not stick for another year.

However, this does not mean that the ALGS Open is completely scrapped. Instead, the ALGS Open will take place online, from February to March 2026. The exact dates are yet to be confirmed.
It will work as a qualification route for the ALGS Pro League, replacing the Preseason Qualifiers.
Meanwhile, the regional ALGS Pro League and Challenger Circuit splits remain online and relatively unchanged.
Alongside the three ALGS Year 6 LANs, EA announced that they have increased the cross-event total prize pool for the upcoming season to $7 million USD.

This is primarily thanks to the Split 1 Playoffs and Split 2 Playoffs now offering the same $2 million USD as the ALGS Championship, rather than the previous $1 million.
