Wiktor ‘TaZ’ Wojtas has joined BC.Game as coach, returning to the role for the first time since leaving G2 in June.
The signing completes the core team and coach combo for BC.Game, who unveiled the signing of the SAW core on Saturday.

Can TaZ manage emotional roster?
As G2’s coach, TaZ won three Tier 1 titles at IEM Dallas 2024, BLAST Fall Final 2024, and BLAST World Final 2024.
Despite that success, fans and analysts were at times critical of the Pole’s role in that success, questioning his tactical impact and reducing his contribution to being a mere ‘cheerleader.’
That criticism was somewhat corroborated by G2 CEO, Alban ‘Stilgar’ Dechelotte, on the HLTV Confirmed podcast, who reflected that the signing of TaZ focused on ‘vibes,’ stating:
“In this roster, at that time, [we had] so much experience, so much firepower, so much tactical knowledge that we didn’t feel we needed a very strategic coach
We just felt like we needed someone who could drive the collect, and contribute some knowledge that only a Major-winner can bring.”
Certainly, this new roster will likely need someone who can maintain vibes.
Criticism surrounding Denis ‘electroNic’ Sharipov’s recent stints at Cloud9 and Virtus.pro have pointed to his frequent negative body language and prolonged criticisms of his teammates.
Likewise, Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev has been accused in the past of being a negative influence on the confidence of his teammates.
Therefore, TaZ may have to be the voice in the team which controls those strong voices and emotions, and turns them into positive motivation.
BC.Game will be hoping that the respect that electroNic and s1mple undoubtedly have for the Major winner will translate to being able to control those strong personalities.
The wait is over

Can this BC.Game project work?
In signing SAW’s core of Christopher ‘MUTiRiS’ Fernandes, António ‘aragornN’ Barbosa, and Adones ‘krazt’ Nobre, BC.Game have guaranteed an invite to IEM Krakow.
The roster currently sits at Number 22 in the VRS, marking a giant jump in the rankings due to the purchase of the VRS core.
If BC.Game’s mission was to compete in these Tier 1 events, you could easily argue that the signing itself is a success for the team, returning s1mple to Counter-Strike’s top table.
Yet, competitively, the signs could hardly be worse.
SAW struggled in the second half of the year, winning very few Tier 1 matches in what looked to be a tired project.
The team’s Fissure Playground 1 and PGL Masters Bucharest runs in weak fields largely maintained their rank, alongside wins at uncompetitive local LANs.
Additionally, no player to previously leave SAW has really pushed on to a better level than SAW’s collective peak as a united national project.
That has been most recently demonstrated by Michel ‘ewjerkz’ Pinto’s benching at NiP.
BC.Game’s own form since the addition of electroNic has been abject, and demons of s1mple’s motivation have shown through his return to allegedly playing DotA 2 over CS.
While BC.Game will be hoping that the ranking jump and signings can settle the roster, but there is little to say that, in the server it will be a success.
Already, fans and players alike are assuming that this roster will not be the final iteration of the team, with Spirit’s Andrey ‘tN1R’ Tatarinovich reportedly saying, “There will be changes anyway. I don’t believe this lineup will last long.”
TaZ must seriously focus minds, as the roster itself cannot go into competition with that mentality.
Their VRS rank puts BC.Game and s1mple back in Tier 1, but it is only their performances which can keep them there, so they must deliver.
