American esports organisation M80 have signed FGC great Jo’siah ‘Hikari’ Miller for the upcoming 2XKO season.
Hikari is considered one of the best Dragon Ball FighterZ players of all time.
He is a two-time Evolution Championship Series (EVO) champion (2023 and France 2025) and World Tour (2024 and 2025) champion.
Now, Hikari has moved his interest into Riot Games’ League of Legends-based fighting game title, 2XKO for 2026.
M80 aren’t the only organisation to recently sign an FGC great as FlyQuest signed eight-time EVO champion Dominique ‘SonicFox’ Mclean for 2XKO too.
Hikari has already been competing in 2XKO for a while, having started with the TNS Alpha Lab 2 tournament back in April.
He recently won the IB Games First Impact #2 event after defeating fellow American competitor Lenwood ‘INZEM’ Arnold.
Hikari also achieved third-place finishes at the FlyQuest 2XKO Christmas Clash and DreamHack Atlanta 2025.
Placing third at the latter was no small feat considering the competition, with Super Smash Bros Melee icon William ‘Leffen’ Hjelte defeating SonixFox in the high-profile final.
Hikari’s own promising results make him quite the coup for M80, marking the organisation’s return to the FGC scene.
M80 was already competing in Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege X, and Rocket League, making 2XKO the org’s fourth active title.
The American esports organisation previously had a short stint in FGC after signing British Street Fighter pro Samuel ‘EndingWalker’ Arm back in 2023.
During that stint, he placed second in the Street Fighter 6 tournament at Ultimate Fighting Arena 2023 in Paris.
2XKO esports in 2026
Riot Games has confirmed big plans for 2XKO esports in 2026 with further investment for the game’s competitive scene.
The publisher is partnering with FGC tournament organisers to help host 20 global, Riot-sanctioned 2KXO tournaments next year.
These 20 events will make up the 2026 Competitive Series, which will feature five Majors and 15 Challenger events in total.
There will be five in-game seasons next year, with each one bringing three Challenger events and a Major, as well as the release of a new in-game champion.
Challenger will be regional events, while Majors will be bigger-scale LANs and the tournament that pros like Hikari will be desperate to win.
To help fund these events and boost these prize pools, Riot is releasing the Frame Perfect line of skins in 2XKO, of which a portion of its profits will be given to tournament organisers.
