CoinPoker launches Winter Festival with $10m in guaranteed prize pools

CoinPoker has launched a new online poker tournament series, the $10 million guaranteed Winter Festival, which is running until January 26th.

What is the CoinPoker Winter Festival?

The CoinPoker Winter Festival launched on Boxing Day and will run until January 26th.

It is split into three stages and features a mix of No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments, alongside turbo and deep-stack structures.

There is $10m in prizepools and the festival also offers $200,000 through satellites, leaderboards and second chance flipouts. The poker events are accessible on desktop and mobile for iOS and Android.

The festival requires no opt-in, while tickets and second chance flipouts are activated automatically. Tickets are credited to poker accounts, while players with Second Chance Flipout entries are registered one hour before the start time.

What are the three stages?

The opening stage of the Winter Festival, the Holiday Turbo Mini Series, has already begun and is set to conclude on December 30.

This stage offered fast-paced poker action with second-chance flipouts paying out $5,000 in tickets a day, but $10,000 on December 28th.

During this stage, CoinMasters is temporarily adjusted to eight-minute levels and the CoinMasters – BITCOIN event is boosted to $125,000.

The second stage is the Fresh Start Week, which takes place between December 31st and January 7th.

This stage includes New Year’s edition tournaments and satellites awarding a combined $30,000 in entries. There are also tournaments on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, each including $10,000 in Winter Masters Series tickets.

Overall, the week features $50,000 in added value, made up of $30,000 in satellite tickets and $20,000 from New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day events.

The final stage, the Winter Masters Series, takes place from January 8 to 26. It features headline tournaments that incorporate seats won during the earlier stages.

Three Main Events anchor the Winter Masters Series as listed below.

• $500 high-tier main event with $250,000 guarantee
• $75 mid-tier main event with $75,000 guarantee
• $15 low-tier main event with $20,000 gurantee

Guarantees for recurring tournaments such as CoinMasters and the Sunday Cup are also increased during this period.

During the Winter Master Series, CoinPoker also offers $100,000in leaderboard prizes, split across low, medium and high buy-in tiers. Leaderboard rankings are based on a player’s best ten tournament results, with prizes paid in tournament tickets.

What is CoinPoker?

CoinPoker operates as an online poker platform offering both cryptocurrency and fiat payment options in multiple countries.

The site hosts a regular tournament schedule, including events such as the Coin Series of Poker and the Cash Game World Championship.

Earlier this month, CoinPoker launched a $5,000 monthly freeroll for mobile players.
