Fortnite Back to the Future collaboration launches with iconic skins and DeLorean time travel

Landing in the store just in time for Christmas, nostalgia is at the heart of the Fortnite Back to the Future collaboration.

Which items are included, when are they available, and how do you access the DeLorean mythic loot?

New Fortnite Back to the Future collaboration: All skins and cosmetics

The Fortnite Back to the Future collaboration drops in the midst of Fortnite Winterfest 2025, offering players yet another chance to indulge in iconic pop culture.

In the collaboration’s trailer, players see confirmation of the highly anticipated Doc Brown skin cosmetic. 

Marty McFly also appears in the trailer, suggesting there will be a skin for both characters in the iconic duo.

What is a Fortnite Back to the Future collaboration without the movie’s iconic time machine? Of course, the DeLorean is also appearing as part of the collaboration. The time machine also seems to have special flying effects. 

Interestingly, the DeLorean will not be limited to cosmetic involvement. It will spawn on the Battle Royale map, providing players with a side quest that can bring a host of mythic weapons. 

Leaks also show a loading screen that will be obtainable to commemorate the event. 

The expected Battle Pass skins and cosmetic items from the Fortnite Back to the Future collaboration are as follows:

• Marty McFly skin (with future Marty variation) 
• Peel to the Future loading screen 
• Marty’s Gibson ES-345 guitar 
• “You’re Outtatime” spray 
• “Great Scott!” emote
• Nike Air Mag kicks 
• Camcorder Crusher pickaxe 
• DeLorean banner icon 
• Flux Fall contrail 
• Looking McFly spray 

Meanwhile, additional skins and cosmetics will be available in the Fortnite shop. These will include: 

• Doc Brown skin (bundle with other cosmetics expected)
• The DeLorean (bundle with other cosmetics expected)

How to find the DeLorean – Guide

During the Fortnite Back to the Future collaboration, the DeLorean will be appearing on Fortnite’s Winterfest Battle Royale Map. 

Players will see the DeLorean’s location marked on the Battle Royale map with a white icon as the game begins. Be aware – landing there may lead to early game fights as players battle for quick access to top-tier loot. 

If a player is close to a DeLorean, they will also see a DeLorean icon on the compass at the top of the screen and on the mini map.

So far, three primary locations have been identified for the DeLorean spawning: 

• At Sus Studios, toward the south of the BR map, the DeLorean often spawns parked in front of metal containers at the southernmost point of the POI. 
• In the Sandy Strip, toward the west of the BR map, the DeLorean can often be found in the parking lot at the southernmost point of the POI
• A gas station west of Clawsy Lodge (between Clawsy Lodge and Wonkeeland) is the northernmost point where the DeLorean regularly spawns. 

Although these are the most frequent spawns, the DeLorean can also potentially be found in other POI locations.

The DeLorean is more than mere decoration. Finding it will give players access to a Plutonium Chest.

On the map, the DeLorean behaves like a car, with 720 health and a top speed of 88 miles per hour. 

When players reach 88mph in the car, they will time-travel and receive the Plutonium Chest on the vehicle’s roof. Inside are Chapter 1 Fortnite OG loot items – of course, from the past, given that the player time-travelled to receive them.

• Drum Gun 
• Hunting Rifle
• Infantry Rifle 
• Lever-Action Shotgun 
• Minigun 
• Pump Shotgun 
• Six Shooter
