Legendary jungler Marcin ‘Jankos’ Jankowski has made an emotional return to G2 Esports ahead of the 2026 LEC season.
With G2, Jankos won five LEC trophies and the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational, Europe’s only international title since Worlds 2011.
However, the 30-year-old is not coming out of retirement; he has joined the organisation as a content creator.
The video released by G2 revealed that Jankos has partnered with the organisation to co-stream the LEC 2026 season for them.
Presumably, he will also make YouTube and social media content for the team, but specific plans were not revealed.
That will include the new LEC Versus event with Los Ratones, the team created by fellow co-streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont.
Outside of competing in the NLC with NORD Esports and Ruddy Esports, Jankos spent part of the 2025 season partnered with the LEC’s newest team, Natus Vincere (NAVI).
Acting as a content creator for them too, he appeared in their YouTube videos and co-streamed the LEC Summer Split on his Twitch channel.
Back in November, NAVI announced that Jankos was leaving, saying:
“You added a special energy to our first-ever LEC split, though it was kinda a short one! Thank you for all the streams, videos, gags, and every story along the way.
“We are grateful that you were a part of all this! Marcin expressed his desire to pursue another opportunity, and we respected that choice by allowing him to continue on his path.”
Today we’re parting ways with our resident content creator @JankosLoL.

It’s no surpirse that Jankos chose to return to the organisation where he had the most success in his career.
The 2019 MSI-winning G2 roster will be remembered in LoL Esports history as one of the greatest Western rosters of all time.

G2 Esports have kept their entire LoL line-up for 2026.
This means G2 will field the same five-man roster in the LEC, which consists of:
- Top lane – Sergen ‘BrokenBlade’ Çelik
- Jungle – Rudy ‘SkewMond’ Semaan
- Mid lane – Rasmus ‘Caps’ Winther
- Bot lane – Steven ‘Hans Sama’ Liv
- Support – Labros ‘Labrov’ Papoutsakis
The key signing is, of course, the iconic mid laner Caps as G2 have extended the contract of EMEA’s most decorated LoL player to 2027.
And G2 have also kept hold of their extensive coaching staff.
Dylan Falco is staying as head coach with Rodrigo Domingues Oliveira remaining his head analyst.
While Jonas ‘Memento’ Elmarghichi remains G2’s assistant coach and Ismael ‘Isma’ Pedraza is still their performance coach.
