Gen.G sign Esports World Cup winner Aydan to CoD Warzone roster

Esports World Cup 2025 winner Aydan ‘Aydan‘ Conrad is the latest player to join Gen.G’s Call of Duty: Warzone roster.

The American pro helped Twisted Mind win the tournament and take home $250,000 (£187k) in prize money.

Now he has joined Gen.G, who only entered the Call of Duty: Warzone esports scene back in September.

He is the final member of what looks to be, on paper, a very strong three-man roster.

Aydan joins after English Warzone pro winner Lenun signed with Gen.G last month.

Lenun was another high-profile signing after he became a World Series of Warzone 2025 champion with Team Vision.

It’s a major message of intent from Gen.G as both new additions to the won major trophies this year.

The duo will seemingly be joined by another British pro in Welshman Rhys ‘Rated‘ Price, as confirmed by Lenun in his own Tweet.

It means ‘Natedogg‘ and Callum ‘ScummN‘ Taylor have both left Gen.G after their brief stint with the South Korea-based organisation.

Gen.G CEO, Arnold Hur, welcomed the new addition, saying:

“Been working our way into the scene for a long time, and I’m so excited that we get to bring Aydan onto the team!”

While general manager Justin ‘JKeith’ Keith, revealed that Aydan was his primary transfer target:

“Day one in this role, I said his name – didn’t care what it took, I was going to make it happen eventually.

“Two years later and here we are. Welcome to the squad, stud.”

Before competing in Warzone, Aydan was also a strong Fortnite competitor between 2018 and 2021, with frequent appearances in high-profile events.

Fast forward to 2025 and after his huge Esports World Cup triumph, Aydan also helped Twisted Minds finish ninth at the World Series of Warzone 2025 Global Final.

Gen.G in 2025

Gen.G had a busy 2025 esports season.

As well as forming a star-studded Warzone roster, Gen.G also created a Marvel Rivals super-team with some of Korea’s top talents.

Yet, the strong roster ultimately fell short of their expectations after failing to qualify for the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals.

Though Gen.G did find some sucess in League of Legends, albeit with another disappointing ending.

The LoL roster appeared to be the best team in the world, winning LCK Spring and Summer Splits, the Esports World Cup, and a second consecutive Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).

However, Gen.G fell at the final hurdle again. The team couldn’t win LoL Worlds, falling out of the semi-finals after a shock loss to KT Rolster.

Though superstar midlaner Jeong ‘Chovy’ Ji-hoon did win Player of the Year at the League Awards 2025, whether he felt he deserved it or not.
