Fortnite Mobile Series: All you need to know about the Blitz Royale $1 million Open

Epic Games’ new Fortnite Mobile Series allows solo mobile players to compete for their share of a $1 million USD (~£750,000 GBP) prize pool.

With three main phases, seven regions, and regular qualifiers, the tournament offers a fresh opportunity for competitive success in the mobile game genre, pursuing the global success of titles such as Honor of Kings, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and PUBG Mobile.

The Fortnite Mobile Series format

Spanning North America Central, Europe, North American West, Oceania, Asia, the Middle East, and Brazil, the new Fortnite Mobile Series offers players around the world a new avenue to reach LAN competition. Its in-person Championship is one of Epic Games’ two new LAN tournaments introduced for the FNCS (Fortnite Champion Series) 2026 calendar.

The competitive structure is split into three Phases:

Phase 1: Monthly Opens

Players compete in rounds used to determine who can participate in the Qualifiers. These Qualifiers then offer players their first opportunity to earn prize pool money.

First-place qualifier competitors in North America Central and Europe receive $1,000 USD (~£750 GBP), while topping the leaderboards in North America West, Oceania, Asia, the Middle East, and Brazil earns players $700 USD (~£525 GBP).

There is also a Last Chance Qualifier before Phase 2 of the competition begins, which does not offer a monetary reward. However, it is the final opportunity for players to enter the Group Stage.

Phase 2: The Group Stage and Semifinals

Competitors who survived the open qualifiers continue their competition in a Group and Semifinals Phase. First, Group Stage seeding is determined by player placements on their regional Series Leaderboard created from Phase 1 points and results.

Then, as Group Stage matches conclude, the top eight point-earners in each Group advance to the Fortnite Mobile Series regional Semifinals.

Following each Semifinal, the top-ranked players (by points) advance to the Championship.

In Europe and North America Central, the top three players on each Semifinal leaderboard are selected. Meanwhile, in North America West, Oceania, Asia, the Middle East, and Brazil, the top two players on each Semifinal leaderboard are chosen.

Phase 3: The Fortnite Mobile Series Championship

Finally, the Fortnite Mobile Series Championship will see 16 players fight for their share of a $200,000 USD (~£150,000 GBP) prize pool, with the competition held in person.

Currently, Epic Games has yet to confirm any further details.
