The viewing figures for the 2025 edition of Red Bull League of Its Own, the popular off-season League of Legends event hosted by Red Bull, have been revealed.
This year’s edition of the event took place at the SAP Garden in Munich and consisted of six show matches.
One of the main matches was a clash between three-time world champions T1 and G2 Esports.
How many people watched Red Bull League of its Own?
League of Legends event, Red Bull League of its Own, attracted a peak viewership of more than 500,000 viewers.
The Red Bull-backed event, which took place on Saturday, hit a peak of 509,212 viewers during a match between T1 and G2 Esports.
The event ran for a total of six hours and 50 minutes, maintaining a strong average viewership of 331,671.
While impressive figures, it still fell short of 2024, which peaked at 612,000 viewers.
According to data from Esports Charts, T1 appeared in the three most-watched matches of the day. This was largely driven by fans eager to see the debut of Kim ‘Peyz’ Su-hwan.
The 20-year-old replaced Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyeong in the bot lane, who announced his departure from the team early in November.
Red Bull League of its Own results
Following the same hybrid format as the 2024 event, the Red Bull League of its Own event combined showmatches and a short tournament bracket.
G2 Esports claimed the title after defeating Karmine Corp and then world champions T1 in the final.
Steven “Hans Sama” Liv delivered a standout 18-kill performance, leading G2 to a 45–16 rout in one of the day’s most lopsided scorelines.
G2 Esports also opened the event with a 25-minute win over NNO Old, while Karmine Corp beat Los Ratones in the second best-of-one show match.
The final match of the show saw Los Ratones, owned by Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, score a surprise win over T1.
British Twitch star Caedrel was recently shaved bald after losing a wager with T1. He promised to go bald if T1 won LoL Worlds with Choi ‘Doran’ Hyeon-joon.
T1 had won the previous two LoL World Championships, but many expected the loss of Choi ‘Zeus’ Woo-je to hurt the team.
However, the South Korean esports organisation completed a historic three-peat to win Worlds 2025 with their new toplaner. Caedrel went on to shave his head after presenting the League of Legends 2025 awards ceremony.
