Mega Lucario Z revealed for Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension

A trailer has revealed one last Mega Evolution for the Mega Dimension DLC in Pokémon Legends Z-A: Mega Lucario Z.

This was the final reveal for the upcoming DLC, with other new Mega Evolutions likely still to come.

Last month, the Nintendo Switch 2 title revealed that Mega Zeraora is coming to Pokémon Legends Z-A in the Mega Dimension DLC.

Lucario was one of the first Pokémon to receive a Mega Evolution back in X and Y.

Now the popular fighting type is getting a second version, a ‘Z’ form of his Mega Evolution, similar to Mega Mewtwo X and Y.

The new design adds white accents, including face paint, and features the same yellow fur as his first Mega, but in a Y shape.

According to the Pokémon website, Mega Lucario Z will still be a fighting and steel type like Mega Lucario.

It will feature the same BST at 625, but the official description makes it sound like the Z form will be bulkier and possibly focused on special attack:

“While Mega Lucario concentrates its aura into a destructive force, Mega Lucario Z uses it to surround its entire body, cloaking itself to increase its defence, flexibility, and agility.

“It can utilise its aura in a variety of ways, including stretching it into a shield or channelling it into physical blows by concentrating it into specific parts of its body, such as its legs or fists.”

It has also been hinted that Lucario won’t be the only Pokémon to receive a Z Mega.

Z Mega Evolutions will fire moves off quicker, but they will also burn through their Mega Power very quickly.

Due to this, the Pokémon website claims Z Mega Evolutions are “most effective at securing a quick, decisive victory.”

Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y comes to Pokémon Legends Z-A

Before Lucario, Mewtwo and Charizard were the first Pokémon to receive alternate Mega Evolution forms.

Now it has been announced that Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y are available in Pokémon Legends Z-A.

While some Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends Z-A are locked behind a paywall, the Mewtwo forms will be free.

Players can receive the Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y items via Mystery Gift, which will grant access to an extra side mission.

Those who have completed the main story can then take on said side mission to catch Mewtwo.

To collect Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y, players need to:

• Open the main menu and select Link Play.
• Select Mystery Gift.
• Select Get via Internet to receive your Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y.

After that, players will need to go to Lysandre Café to start the mission and start exploring Lysandre Labs.
