LoL Worlds 2025 opening ceremony will be directed by Anyma

Riot Games has confirmed more details about the League of Legends World Championship (LoL Worlds) 2025 final opening ceremony.

The final will take place on Sunday, November 9th in Chengdu, China at the Dong’an Lake Sports Park Indoor Gymnasium.

The opening ceremony will feature live performances from G.E.M, Anyma, Chrissy Costanza, and TEYA.

Italian DJ Anyma (Matteo Milleri) is well known for his visual live performances and will help direct the opening ceremony.

Anyma has joined Worlds as a creative collaborator and Riot says he will bring: “his groundbreaking visual direction and live production expertise to the Worlds stage.”

Anyma’s immersive visual performances have taken the Italian producer and DJ to some rather large shows.

He was the first electronic music artist to hold residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere and recently held a show at the Pyramids of Giza.

Anyma was also in charge of the creative direction for The Weeknd’s São Paulo concert in front of over 70,000 people last year.

Now, he’ll bring those visuals to the final and perform Sacrifice, this year’s LoL Worlds anthem, with G.E.M.

“I’ve been an avid gamer all my life, so headlining Worlds 2025 is a real honour,” says Anyma.

The Italian artist added he’s excited to collaborate with Riot on the live show:

“Riot Games’ consistent storytelling on such a large scale feels truly limitless… I’m thrilled to bring my sound and touch into their world to push the boundaries of what’s possible through such an impactful medium.”

Maria Egan, Global Head of Music & Events at Riot Games, also hopes the ceremony will push boundaries:

“By uniting the League of Legends IP with Anyma’s visionary visual artistry, we’re creating an exclusive live experience that further cements Worlds in the ranks of the world’s most iconic cultural events.”

What songs will be performed at the LoL Worlds 2025 final opening ceremony?

Riot has confirmed that the Worlds 2025 opening ceremony will feature performances from G.E.M, Anyma, Chrissy Costanza, and TEYA.

The headline will be Sacrifice by G.E.M and Anyma, the ballad which represents this year’s tournament.

The Sacrifice LoL Worlds anthem release was delayed to remove Bwipo from the music video following sexist remarks.

Additionally, Against the Current lead singer Costanza will seemingly perform Legends Never Die again at Worlds 2025.

Costanza previously performed Legends Never Die at Worlds 2017 and Phoenix at Worlds 2019.

And finally, former Eurovision contestant TEYA will perform Bite Marks, the song of this year’s season-opening cinematic.
