Team Vitality unveil new Head of Esports Operations

French esports organisation Team Vitality have announced Till Werdermann as their new Head of Esports Operations.

Werdermann was previously the Canada-based OverActive Media, the parent company of Movistar KOI and the newly named Call of Duty League team, Toronto KOI.

Werdermann left Overactive back in September and will now oversee Vitality’s EA Sports FC, League of Legends, Rocket League, and Valorant divisions.

The pressure is on for the EA FC 26 team as Team Vitality have partnered with Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Werdermann was the Director of Team Operations at KOI, Overactive’s League of Legends division.

It was a solid year for the MKOI LoL team as they attended MSI and the World Championships this year.

Now, Werdermann is working for Vitality in Berlin and presumably will play a big part in Vitality’s LEC roster moves this year.

Posting on social media, Werdermann revealed:

“Excited to announce that I’ve joined Team Vitality as Head of Esports Operations.

“I’ve already been working with the teams across Berlin and Paris this October, and it’s been a pleasure to be at such a storied organisation.”

Having already worked at the organisation, it’s possible Werdermann was part of Chronicle’s controversial Valorant transfer to Team Vitality.

Signing Timofey ‘Chronicle’ Khromov is seen as a massive coup for Vitality. He is one of only five players to reach a Valorant Champions final on multiple occasions.

However, Vitality’s announcement came early before Fnatic could publicly thank their long-serving player.

Werdermann will also have his hands full with the Rocket League roster of Vitality.

Vitality are former Rocket League World Champions and still have Alexis ‘zen’ Bernier, considered Rocket League’s greatest ever player, on their team.

However, 2025 was heavily disappointing for Vitality’s big-name roster as they failed to reach a final of any Major or at RLCS Worlds.

Team Vitality’s League of Legends struggles

Team Vitality are a very strong organisation who typically compete at the top of most esports they enter.

They have created one of the most dominant Counter-Strike teams with multiple CS2 major wins this year.

And the organisation finished third in the Esports World Cup Club Championship standings, earning $3 million (£2.25m) in prize money.

However, the organisation has desperately struggled in LoL for a while now, which Werdermann will want to fix.

Vitality performed better than expected, reaching the top six of the LEC Summer Split this year.

However, the team didn’t come close to qualifying for Worlds and hasn’t done so since 2018.

Vitality’s roster moves will be interesting as they had a lot of talented rookies on their team this year like Kaan ‘Naak Nako’ Okan.
