Rekkles confirms his Los Ratones LEC plans for 2026

League of Legends support Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson has revealed his thoughts on Los Ratones’ debut season and LEC Versus.

Founded by British streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, Los Ratones are going to compete in the LEC Versus event next year.

The legendary Swedish LoL pro has confirmed he intends to stay with Los Ratones next season.

Los Ratones found incredible success, winning all three NLC splits and two EMEA Masters championships.

The team hadn’t lost a best-of-five all year until Karmine Corp Blue embarrassed Los Ratones 3-0 in the EMEA Masters Semifinals.

Still, Rekkles was delighted with the team’s progress:

“I would say this season also lived up to expectations.

“We won almost all we could win whilst still enjoying the process for the majority of the year at the same time.”

Originally, Rekkles agreed to join Los Ratones as it allowed him to still compete while returning home to Sweden.

However, competing in LEC Versus will require the team to relocate to Berlin, Germany or travel every week.

Toplaner Simon ‘Baus’ Hofverberg has already revealed he is considering quitting Los Ratones to continue streaming.

And because of the relocation, there were the same concerns over Rekkles, but he has removed any doubts:

“The next step is Los Ratones competing in the LEC 2026 Versus, which is an exciting challenge and something I am really looking forward to being part of.

“I feel like I am in a really good place mentally now and ready for whatever is to come. No more baggage from the past weighing me down.”

Rekkles also revealed he is going to temporarily stop streaming to focus on the move and LEC.

What does the future hold for Los Ratones?

The future of Los Ratones is still up in the air as the team has seemingly hit its ceiling.

Caedrel has made it repeatedly clear that he wants the team to continue progressing without being stuck competing in ERLs.

LEC Versus is exactly the sort of opportunity Caedrel wanted to find for the team, but it’s only temporary.

After the Winter Split, it’s hard to imagine the team will go back to competing in the ERLs.

A popular request among fans is for the team to travel to South Korea and bootcamp there for challenging games and good content.

Otherwise, if Los Ratones want to play at a high level permanently, they may have to partner with an existing LEC team.
