IShowSpeed teases potential Fortnite collaboration

One of the most popular streamers in the world, Darren Jason ‘IShowSpeed’ Watkins Jr, could be getting a Fortnite skin.

The Twitch streamer shot to fame five years ago while streaming on Fortnite.

A donation asked Speed his favourite soccer team to which he responded: “Cristian Ronaldo, sewey,” which went massively viral.

IShowSpeed also recently hosted a $100k Droptics Fortnite tournament, which ended in disaster.

While IShowSpeed’s hero Cristiano Ronaldo already has a skin in the game, the streamer could soon follow suit.

During his recent stream while playing Fortnite, Speed gave his chat this teaser:

“Speaking of Fortnite…I don’t want to say anything, but let me just do this,” before winking at the camera multiple times.

Fortnite just added a ton of new characters for Halloween as part of the Fortnightmares 2025 event.

This included singer Doja Cat, actress Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, and various characters from Scooby Doo.

It’s not clear whether this IShowSpeed tease is hinting towards in-game content like a skin and dance emote.

If it is, it could be quite a while before anything appears in-game, as Fortnite content usually leaks quite early.

However, this tease could also be referring to a big stream IShowSpeed has planned.

The creator regularly plans big events such as his 106-hour hardcore Minecraft marathon with Kai Cenat last year.

IShowSpeed is close behind Kai Cenat as one of the most popular streamers and content creators in the world.

He currently has 2.45 million Twitch followers, 45.1m YouTube subscribers, 41.3m TikTok followers, and 41.8m Instagram followers.

  • Lazarbeam
  • Loserfruit

Kai Cenat was added just a couple of months ago, with his in-game skin costing 1800 V-Bucks; around £12 in real-life money.

These creators’ skins are part of the Icon series, one of 31 extra rarities in Fortnite.

The Icon Series contains notable celebrities, artists, and influencers.

And a popular addition to this recently were the main characters from the hit Netflix movie KPop Demon Hunters were added as Fortnite skins.

As part of Zoey, Mira, and Rumi’s release, Fortnite also received a limited-time game mode called Demon Rush.

This was a variation on the popular Horde Rush mode, which regularly appears in the game during Halloween and Fortnightmare events.
