Brazil is the highest-represented nationality at the Siege X Munich Major, with 36% of players hailing from the South American esports powerhouse. It is followed by the United States, with 19%, and France, with 10%.
The UK has two representatives at the Major: Jack ‘Doki’ Robertson, entry fragger for G2 Esports, and Josh ‘Yuzus’ Prichard, flex player for Team Falcons.
Which format will be used at the Major?
Although the Major is fast approaching, some format details have yet to be confirmed. This is what we know so far:
Teams will first participate in a Swiss Stage. Despite Swiss Stages usually being associated with Groups, The Seige X Munich Major will not divide the teams. All 16 will sit in the same group and face off in best-of-one games. Elimination rounds will not be best-of-one.
Overall, the Swiss Stage is split into five rounds. Following this, the top eight Swiss Stage teams will advance to the Playoffs Stage.
My predictions for the R6 Munich Major! I know that the format is double elim after Swiss, but "Quarters" looks cleaner than "top 8" to me. pic.twitter.com/hfHAsYK39V

The Swiss Stage occurs from November 8th to 11th, followed by the Playoffs from November 12th to 16th. However, there will be no matches on November 13th.
Therefore, the entirety of the Swiss Stage and a significant portion of the Playoffs will not have a public audience in attendance.
The R6 Siege X Munich Major is the first European Major since the UK’s Manchester May 2024 BLAST R6 Major.
