Every Apex Legends Global Series region has concluded their Split 2 Regional Finals and Last Chance Qualifier. Therefore, all qualified ALGS Year 5 Championship teams are confirmed.
Who secured their competitive slot in Sapporo through the Pro League, and which teams bested the brutal Last Chance Qualifiers?

ALGS Year 5 Split 2 Regional Finals: Who performed best during Split 2 of Pro League?
The ALGS Sapporo Championship is returning for both 2026 and 2027, and teams have been scrambling for qualification slots.
Both APAC-N and APAC-S teams that won the Regional Final had to win to qualify. If SYRALE or Boogie Boarders had not won in their region, they would not have become one of the ALGS Year 5 Championship teams.
todays @PlayApexEsports #ALGS APAC-N have 6 possible teams on the bubble and it affects the overall championship points standings alot so it'll be a crazy fun watch.

Their qualification is an impressive display of determination in a do-or-die position.
However, the true kings of APAC-South were Gen.G. The longstanding trio of Jirayut ‘Z1CKKY’ Apiwongngam, Papangkorn ‘ASIAZXD’ Pattarawonghan, and Lertpong ‘Dexter’ Nakurai broke records with their Split 2 performance.
ASIAZXD broke the all-time Pro League six-game kill record during Split 2. In the six games, he achieved 34 kills. He also achieved the highest K/D in Split 2, at 3.67.

The team’s impressive performance and longevity as a trio have earned them a contract extension with Gen.G until 2028, a level of organisation to player commitment rarely seen in the ALGS.
Alliance maintained their deadly dominance to win the EMEA ALGS Regional Finals and Split 2 Pro League.
Alliance’s Championship points meant that Sapporo was already guaranteed, but that did little to hold them back from dominating the Final to end Match Point after only six games.
🚨🟢 ALLIANCE WIN REGIONAL FINALS!!! 🏆

Match Point in Game 5, Victory in Game 6.

Over in the Americas, Shopify Rebellion followed the same path as Alliance. The team became both Pro League and Regional Final winners.
However, the stand-out performance was from the Exterminators, a team that came painfully close to reaching the Championship but ultimately fell short.

They're only 2 POINTS AWAY from MATCH POINT after 2 GAMES!?@StayNaughtyy, @yJely_ and @shoobytooby are in Speedrun Mode… 🏃💨#ALGS pic.twitter.com/wwAeMW8qJm
Chase ‘Shooby’ Vasquez, Paris ‘StayNaughty’ Gouzoulis, and 17-year-old up-and-coming talent Firdaws ‘yJelly’ Abadi were the first team to hit match point. It only took them three games to do so. They won the first two games and were in the top three a total of four times.
Unfortunately, the team still lacked the points to qualify for the ALGS Year 5 Championship and could not clutch an invite in the brutal LCQs.
Which ALGS Year 5 Championship teams qualified through LCQs?
Qualifying for the ALGS Year 5 Championship through the Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQs) is no easy achievement. Teams must qualify for the LCQ final and battle with a lobby of players holding the knowledge that their success that day determines where their season ends.
APAC-North and South

In APAC-North, Riddle Order and Reignite qualified through the LCQ weekend.
Riddle Order’s win qualifies three of Japan’s iconic Apex players, Takamasa ‘Meltstera’ Kawai, Shoichi ‘Taida’ Takahashi, and Yuta ‘mo-mon’ Oshima for the Championship on their home turf.
In APAC-South, Team Mango and Vegas Inferno qualified in a 10-game marathon.
IT ENDED after match 10.

This LCQ brought the total number of qualified teams for APAC-South to ten. APAC-South is now the second-most represented region in the ALGS Year 5 Championship after the Americas, demonstrating an impressive wealth of talent.
EA only runs broadcasts for the Americas and EMEA, with APAC-South and North broadcasts outsourced to third-party organisations.
Many hope that with the rise in APAC-South dominance, including VK Gaming winning the MidSeason Playoffs at the Esports World Cup, EA will finally run its own broadcast, raising the APAC-South region to the same status as the Americas and EMEA.
A WRAP ON APAC SOUTH: 10 Teams to #ALGSSapporo

It's been an amazing Year 5 for ALGS in APAC South. At the start of the year to definitely felt like those outside of our region thought APAC-S was falling off.
But the ALGS Open and EWC proved we are clearly only going up, and now… pic.twitter.com/xXRsNZo2rx
The Americas and EMEA
In EMEA, Supernova and FaZe Clan secured ALGS Year 5 Championship invites.
Although registered for the LCQ under ‘TheHorde’, Supernova signed the players for the LCQ and Championship.
FaZe Clan continued its pattern of LCQ success. Through this challenging route, they have qualified for two Championships, both in Year 5 and Year 4.
Supernova’s EMEA LCQ win is also significant, marking the return of Konstantin ‘Hardecki’ Kozlov to an ALGS Championship. Hardecki has been active in the ALGS since 2019 and gained a reputation as the Reaper of Apex, with a highly aggressive playstyle.

Men of Culture and Oblivion clutched their LCQ Championship qualification in the Americas. Despite their impressive Regional Final performance, Exterminators finished a disappointing 13th in the LCQ.
Oblivion’s qualification also welcomes back core members of the ALGS pro community, Miguel ‘Blinkzr’ Quiles, Bowen ‘Monsoon’ Fuller, and Brandon ‘FunFPS’ Groombridge.
Coached by the UK’s ‘RubyKaster’, who joins the Championship as one of the female coaches breaking barriers in Apex Legends esports, the team won the LCQ match point in Game 8.
