Los Ratones will face Karmine Corp Blue after huge EMEA Masters win

Los Ratones have qualified for the EMEA Masters Summer Semifinals after defeating France’s number two seeds Gallions 3-1.

It has been reported that two ERL teams, including Los Ratones, will compete in the LEC Winter Split next year.

So while the performance of Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont’s team may not matter as they’ve already qualified, they’re hoping to complete an EMEA Masters treble.

Appropriately, in the Semifinals, Los Ratones will face the only team to ever complete such a treble, Karmine Corp (Blue).

Los Ratones defeat Galions in EMEA Masters Quarterfinals

After an awkward start to the tournament, Los Ratones have been scrimming a lot off-stream recently, and it showed.

Galions were expected to be very difficult opposition, but the NLC champions dominated the first game.

Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson had a phenomenal game on Bard, finishing 0-0-19 as his team cruised to an early series win.

But again, it was never going to all go their way.

Galions came back with a vengeance and cleanly picked Los Ratones apart to tie the series 1-1.

From there, the series got pretty messy but the individual quality of Los Ratones’ players really started to shine through.

Juš ‘Crownie’ Marušič showed why he makes risky plays as he jumped in 2v3 and survived with a double kill.

And then after a lost team fight, Galions were about to secure Atakhan, but Simon ‘Baus’ Hofverberg teleported in as Cho’Gath and forced them back 1v3.

Los Ratones secured Atakhan through that and began to snowball from there, before eventually winning Game 3 and putting the series on match point.

The winning game

Los Ratones ended the series in the fourth game after some ludicrous plays.

Early on, Tolga ‘Serin’ Ölmez looked like he had found a pick on Tim ‘Nemesis’ Lipovšek as he all-inned his mid lane opponent.

Yet, the Los Ratones midlaner expertly outplayed the fight and managed to not only survive but also pick up a solokill.

Despite that win in the side lane, Galions were still controlling the map and were freely taking towers for fun.

However, a Smite steal from Veljko ‘Velja’ Čamdžić prevented Atakhan yet again from Galions, who had to fear Los Ratones getting Dragon Soul next.

Galion had control of the river, but a flank by Baus allowed him to get an incredible two-man Poppy ult.

Thanks to that, Los Ratones picked off Galions’ jungler Andrei ‘Xerxe’ Dragomir and secured Ocean Soul to take control of the game.

With Ocean Soul being a bit weaker in the meta, the game was still on a knife-edge.

However, a Baron steal by Nemesis’ Veigar was the nail in the coffin as Galions were eliminated and Los Ratones progressed to the Semifinals.
