CFO put up an almighty performance to defeat T1 at League of Legends Worlds 2025 in their Best of 1 Contest to go 2-0 at Worlds.
CTBC Flying Oyster handed the LCK their first loss at Worlds, marking a huge achievement for both CFO and their Asia-Pacific region.
Both teams were 1-0 going into the contest, after CFO defeated Fnatic and T1 beat FlyQuest in their opening matchups.

T1 can’t live with fearless CFO
Drafts aren’t the only thing that are fearless at Worlds. CFO showed their confidence both in their gameplay and their hero picks in their win over T1.
Chiu ‘Doggo’ Tzu-Chuan’s pick of Draven for Top Lane was the first sign that CFO were there to play their own game.
The highly unusual pick was immediately successful, as the Taiwanese player went straight for Choi ‘Doran’ Hyeon-jun’s throat in the top lane, securing an early kill.
The pressure didn’t stop there from Doggo or any of the CFO roster, who played with relentless aggression throughout.
Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok was also a victim of the chaos, as Tsai ‘HongQ’ Ming-Hong’s Ryze kept up the pace on mid alongside Yu ‘JunJia’ Chun-Chia on Qiyana, with Faker falling to an early 0/2/1 record.
As the mid-game became the late-game, CFO had won the majority of the teamfights, seemingly always aware of T1’s flanks and isolating fights superbly.
The decisive moment came as T1 felt they could not let CFO get the Baron for free. CFO flanked Keria, with Mun ‘Oner’ Hyeon-jun attempting to help all too late, leading to his death.
Oner struggled throughout the contest, with questionable decision-making throughout, but CFO were flawless to a man as they took the victory in 32 minutes.
The team effort from CFO was evident, with four of the players ending with 10 or more assists. Even amongst great performances, Junjia and Doggo stood out as hugely impactful pieces.

CFO’s 2025 had already been historic, after dominating their home region of the LCP and finishing an impressive 5th-6th at MSI 2025.
However, the Asia-Pacific team once again proved that they are still improving in today’s victory, which marked another historic feat for the region as CFO became the first LCP team to go 2-0 at Worlds.
They are now one Bo3 victory away from playoffs, with three opportunities to make it to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.
For T1, they face a 1-1 bracket that is shaping up to be highly competitive. HLE, BLG, G2, and FlyQuest are amongst the 1-1 teams currently.
The reigning Worlds’ champions can at least fall back on their impressive record against LPL opponents, with LEC and Americas teams rarely providing competition for LCK opposition.
