100 Thieves provided a huge shock at LoL Worlds 2025 as they demolished BLG in their opening Swiss contest.
100T are participating in what will be their last Worlds for the foreseeable future, as the organisation has withdrawn from the Tier 1 of League of Legends.

100 Thieves play without pressure
The organisation initially sold their LCS spot in 2024, before participating in LTA 2025 as a guest while Riot secured a new partnership for 2026.
That slot has now been filled with Sentinels taking the 2026 LCS spot.
Resultantly, 100T played like a team free of the shackles of expectation, the need to show improvement, or represent their organisation.
Even if 100T’s LoL division had not reached its expiration date, the NA team would not have been expected to secure a result.
They came into the event as the now-defunct LTA’s third seed. On paper, one of the weakest teams in the competition.
BLG, on the other hand, come into Worlds with high hopes as the LPL number 1 seed after winning LPL Split 3.
The Chinese roster is expected to make a deep playoffs run after finishing fourth at MSI 2025, but will have to do so from a 0-1 Swiss stage start.
With the shackles off, it seemed like nothing could go wrong for 100T.
Lim ‘Quid’ Hyeon-seung dominated BLG’s legendary mid player, Zhuo ‘Knight’ Ding, finishing 9/0/9.
Victor ‘FBI’ Huang on bot had an equally dominant time, finishing 9/1/5 as Ziggs.
100T’s support, Bill ‘Eyla’ Nguyen began Worlds with an outrageous 16 assists.
The numbers tell the story, as in truth every aspect of the match went shockingly in 100T’s favour from start to finish, leaving BLG’s background staff in disbelief.

T1 dispatch FlyQuest in style; Faker makes 300th International appearance
After surviving the nerve-wracking Bo5 Play-in, T1 rewarded their fans with an easy opening win in their opening Swiss Stage match against FlyQuest.
T1 fans would have been confident even from the draft, as fans were treated to an early Bard pick, a champion Ryu ‘Keria’ Min-seok has made his own.
Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok’s Taliyah also made a decisive appearance as the Korean legend helped his team dominate teamfights with the champ on his 300th international match.

FlyQuest were no match for T1. The already warmed-up Korean roster looked far more coordinated than FlyQuest, who looked disjointed at crunch times.
The series ended with Keria racking up 20 assists on Bard, with Faker and Mun ‘Oner’ Hyeon-jun going 7/4/13 and 8/2/13 respectively as T1 demolished the LTA top seed.
