Caedrel and sjokz announce return of the League Awards

Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont and Eefje ‘sjokz’ Depoortere have announced the return of the League Awards.

For the first time, the event will partner with Red Bull. As a result, the event will be held on November 28, the evening before Red Bull League of Its Own 2025.

League Awards 2025 details revealed

The event will take place in the VIP Lounge of the SAP Garden, the venue of Red Bull League of Its Own 2025.

Nominations should be expected after Worlds, as Worlds will have a natural impact on the outcome of the awards.

Caedrel gave a statement regarding the ambition of the award, saying, “There are leagues that have their own award shows, like the LCK awards or the LPL awards, but to celebrate everyone across the whole world for League, we really want to try our best to celebrate people and give credit where credit is due, in multiple different aspects of the scene.”

sjokz added, “With the celebrations of 15 years of League at Worlds, those are the feelings we’re really trying to evoke… Last year felt so warm and super sweet.”

Caedrel reiterated their goal to make it bigger and better this year.

Certainly, the event will be in a strong position to do so due to their collaboration with Red Bull and their League of Its Own event, and Marriott Bonvoy.

One aspect Caedrel stated he hoped to improve for 2025 was the presence of teams at the event.

The collaboration with Red Bull League of Its Own 2025 may give the pair access to teams such as T1, G2, Karmine Corp, NNO Old, and, of course, Caedrel’s own team, Los Ratones.

There will be no crowd for this event, but the pair noted an ambition to have a crowd in future years.

The announcement came between Game 2 and 3 of the LoL Worlds 2025 play-in between Invictus Gaming and T1.

The content creator and broadcast legend first collaborated to create the inaugural League Awards in 2024, hosting their first event in December of that year.

League Awards 2024 gave out awards to players, teams, content creators, and broadcast talent with a similar list of awards excepted for 2025.
