Former Liquid Top Laner, Park “Summit” Woo-tae, has been suspended following cheating allegations regarding a LTA Promotion Tournament match against Disguised Esports.
The Estral Esports player supposedly took part in “ghosting”, the practice of viewing the opponent’s point of view of an official, thus gaining an unfair advantage.
How the Summit cheating situation unfolded
The match faced protracted technical delays due to server instability issues. Resultantly, the match was stopped with Disguised holding a 2-1 advantage over Estral in the Best of 5.
LTA North later revealed that the tournament was subjected to “ongoing DDOS attacks”, which caused the match to be officially delayed until 21:00 BST, when it is scheduled to resume.

As a result, players were left on their computers, but the rules restrict in-team communication or action during technical pauses regardless of length.
During the technical pause, Summit can be seen in the background of his teammate’s webcam footage, allegedly reviewing an earlier part of the game.
If true, the incident reflects an instance of ghosting where Summit gained an unfair advantage over Disguised due to superior in-game information gained in a way that breaks the rules.
The LTA, however, did not specify the specific rule that Summit was formally suspended for, simply quoting the Esports Global Code of Conduct’s definition of cheating.
The suspension is pending investigation, with Estral permitted to use a substitute for the remainder of the series and further contests in the event, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Disguised, owned by OfflineTV streamer Disguised Toast, are defending their LTA Guest slot, which will become an LCS 2026 slot following Riot’s ditching of the LTA system.
With an LCS spot on the line, the tournament is extremely high stakes yet remains online in the current format.
Estral Esports provide statement
Estral Esports provided a statement regarding the matter, claiming that there was “no bad faith or intent to gain an advantage” from the player involved.
Estral claims that the punishment is “disproportionate and overly severe” as “it “The penalty fails to take into account the human factor of having seven people (players and staff) waiting in front of a computer for more than five hours, without movement or solutions.”
While Estral may stress the “human factor”, that does not explain why a livestream of that particular match needed to be watched at that moment. The decision will not rest with the LTA.

Estral Esports Full Statement below:
To our passionate community,
We would like to address the recent provisional suspension of our player, Summit, and clarify our position.
We understand the frustration and outrage this situation has caused, and we fully share your feelings. Our series faced significant technical challenges, including DDoS attacks on Riot’s servers, which resulted in a pause of more than two hours without a clear solution or effective communication from the on-site officials.
We acknowledge that, amid the uncertainty, our player made a mistake by watching a stream during the pause. However, there was no bad faith or intent to gain an advantage. It was an unfortunate action that stemmed from an unsustainable situation.
We believe the sanction imposed is disproportionate and overly severe. The penalty fails to take into account the human factor of having seven people (players and staff) waiting in front of a computer for more than five hours, without movement or solutions.
We have filed a formal appeal with the league. We will continue to advocate for fair treatment of our players and for a more humane standard in event management.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support and trust.
Sincerely, The Estral Esports Team
