The top-rated player of VCT Champions Paris 2025 is really something

Ilia ‘something’ Petrov was the top-rated player of the Valorant Champions Paris 2025 group stage in Paris.

The Russian initiator/duelist averaged a 1.39 rating over Paper Rex’s five maps in Paris so far as they made the playoffs in a 2-0 fashion with victories over XLG and GiantX.

Individual stats reveal in-form players at VCT Champions Paris

something is one of two PRX players in the top 10 rated players of the event so far, with Wang ‘Jinggg’ Jing Jie in characteristic form.

Fnatic are the only other roster to boast two players individually in the top 10, with Timofey ‘Chronicle’ Khromov and Emir ‘Alfajer’ Beder 5th and 10th respectively.

The form of the players sets up a mouthwatering Upper Semifinal, with Fnatic and Paper Rex on a collision course if they defeat their tough Upper Quarterfinal opponents of DRX and G2, respectively.

Jake ‘Boaster’ Howlett makes a surprise appearance in the tournament’s top 20 performers so far.

The British IGL was the 16th best performer in the group stages, with a 1.093 rating, winning some decisive clutches along the way.

MIBR’s Erick ‘aspas’ Santos was the second-highest-rated player of the group stage, as MIBR grabbed the final playoff spot.

aspas was a sensation in taking first engagements, boasting a remarkable 76.5% First Blood Success Rate, resulting in a 1.32 rating.

GiantX’s Eduard-George ‘ara’ Hanceriu, a rookie who only joined Tier-1 Valorant at Stage 2 of VCT EMEA, boasted the most total kills in the group stage.

He did so as GiantX guaranteed three teams for EMEA in the playoffs, with only Stage 2 champions Liquid missing out.

ara’s total kills, however, came from eight total maps, with Team Heretic’s Enes ‘RieNs’ Ecirli securing the highest average at 20.8 kills per game.

The Esports World Cup champion was the third-highest-rated player in the ground stage, with Heretics looking in form when it matters most – at VCT Champs.

NRG, on the other hand, are conspicuous by their absence in individual charts despite advancing straight to the playoffs as group winners.

However, NRG’s wins have exclusively come in extremely tight contests against EDward Gaming and DRX, with their one map loss being a 4-13 stomp on Haven.

Ultimately, they won’t worry about stats so long as the team can step up to win those crucial rounds, which was also their strength in VCT Americas.

The question remains, though, if NRG can live with the individuals elsewhere once the playoffs commence.
