LCP 2025 Champions crowned as CTBC Flying Oyster complete perfect Season Finals run

CTBC Flying Oyster became the first LCP 2025 Champions after the Pacific’s regional unification.

The team maintained a dominant performance throughout the entire Season Finals split, winning every series they played from Phase 1 to the Grand Final.

CTBC Flying Oyster vs Team Secret Whales: the LCP 2025 Grand Final

The Tiên Sơn Sports Palace in Đà Nẵng, Vietnam, staged the first LCP Grand Final after the region’s unification and formation.

Initially, it seemed as though the Grand Final could be anyone’s game.

Both CTBC Flying Oyster and Team Secret Whales demonstrated strengths in different areas. While CTBC Flying Oyster found teamfight supremacy, Team Secret Whales were able to effectively leverage better results in skirmishes across the map.

Nevertheless, CTBC Flying Oyster’s superior team coordination emerged victorious.

Despite a more even performance from the two teams in Game One of the best-of-five, CTBC Flying Oyster quickly increased the pressure in Game Two with a strong gold lead and vastly better K/D/A stats.

This momentum continued into Game 3. Although Team Secret Whales made strong efforts to slow the momentum of CTBC Flying Oyster, they could not convert their progress to victory.

CTBC Flying Oyster closed out the LCP 2025 Grand Final with three game wins in the best-of-five, cementing their qualification for the League of Legends World Championship and making them the favourites from the LCP region on League of Legends betting sites.

Which teams are now qualified for the 2025 League of Legends World Championship?

CTBC Flying Oyster’s win confirms their qualification for the 2025 League of Legends World Championship. Team Secret Whales and PSG Talon will join them from the LCP region.

However, the LCP teams are not the final Worlds teams to cement their qualification.

The LPL (Chinese League of Legends circuit) and LEC (European League of Legends circuit) have yet to confirm their final qualifications. There are three slots in total still up for grabs.

Therefore, with the conclusion of LCP 2025, the teams qualified for the 2025 League of Legends World Championship are as follows:

LCK (Korean) teams:

  • Hanwha Life Esports
  • KT Rolster
  • Gen.G
  • T1

LPL (Chinese) teams:

  • Bilibili Gaming
  • Anyone’s Legend
  • TBD
  • TBD

LTA (The Americas) teams:

  • FlyQuest
  • Vivo Keyd Stars
  • 100 Thieves

LEC (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) teams:

  • G2 Esports
  • Movistar KOI
  • TBD

LCP (Pacific) teams:

  • CTBC Flying Oyster
  • Team Secret Whales
  • PSG Talon

Despite the 2023 and 2024 consecutive champions T1 re-qualifying for Worlds 2025, the roster has much to prove. An Oner pentakill and failed Rammus Experiment landed them their Worlds qualification, but only in fourth seed.

However, being the fourth seed in no way counts out the Korean titans. T1 and League of Legends icon Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok won in 2024 from fourth seed position.

Much of the seeding is also still to be decided. The LCP 2025 is the only region to be fully determined, with all other seeding to be confirmed as the regional leagues come to an end.
