It’s finally the time of year when players can get their hands on the brand new EA FC 26.
With various ways to get early access to EA FC 26 before launch, many have already begun their new Career Mode saves.
Most people are going to go for the same usual choices of promotion chasers Wrexham, or ambitious Premier League newboys Sunderland.
However, there are way more unique and interesting picks available. Here are some fun save ideas for EA FC 26 Career Mode.
Continue the inspiring story of Real Ovideo
Real Oviedo: The club that refused to die and their fairytale return to glory.

A club torn apart by war, abandoned by politicians, and nearly lost forever. But Carbayones were never gonna let that happen.

One of La Liga’s newest teams, Real Ovideo, have one of the best stories in all of football.
Many may remember, particularly if you were a Spencer Owen fan on YouTube, that fans could buy shares in the team.
The campaign saved the football club from extinction and is still majorly fan-owned.
Not only were they saved, former Arsenal pro and local hero Santi Cazorla has led them to Spain’s top league.
Using a 40-year-old Cazorla while you battle to help Ovideo survive will be a great challenge.
Lead Union Saint-Gilloise’s Champions League heroics

Union Saint-Gilloise just made an emphatic Champions League debut by defeating PSV 3-1.
The club won the Belgian Pro League last year, breaking Blackburn Rovers’ record of the longest interval between two titles.
It was their first time winning the top division since 1935, a massive 90-year wait.
Now the team is flying with fantastic talent like the 80 potential striker Promise David.
And on top of that, Belgium has one of the weirdest Playoff/championing systems in all of football.
The multiple playoffs alone make Union Saint-Gilloise a unique option for EA FC 26 Career Mode.

While this list is mostly for more niche choices, there’s no denying the potential of a Manchester United career.
The former giants are in absolute turmoil, with the club constantly cutting budgets and struggling for results.
Set yourself strict financial conditions and put random events on high to truly recreate the banter-era of the club.
Every unexpected event in EA FC 26 promises to throw random challenges your way, making it perfect for simulating life at Man U.
Get the most out of Alverca’s youth in Career Mode
🚨🇵🇹 FC Alverca started the 2025/26 Liga Portugal season with an XI that had an average age of just 20.8yrs. 🤯✨

It's one of the youngest teams in Europe's top leagues this season. pic.twitter.com/vbtQhbVdg6
Recently promoted to the top division in Portugal, Alverca are a fun choice for Career Mode you may not know about.
They fielded one of the youngest starting teams across Europe’s top leagues with a ridiculous average age of 20.8 years.
That means there are a tonne of young players with good potential to help develop and grow in EA FC 26.
But as one of the weaker teams in the league and with no players having potential of 80 or above, it’ll be hard work.
Return Oldham Athletic to the Premier League
Oldham score twice in 2 minutes during extra time to come from behind to lead in the Playoff Final today.

There are plenty of new clubs in EA FC 26 due to promotions.
Oldham Athletic are one of them as they are finally back in the English Football League.
Oldham has a tremendous history, they were one of the Premier League’s founding teams.
Taking them across four divisions back to the Premier League makes them the obvious Road to Glory choice for EA FC 26.
Help sleeping giants MSV Duisburg achieve consecutive promotions
🇩🇪 MSV Duisburg were playing Bundesliga football back in 2008 and even made the DFB Pokal final in 2011.

Last season, they were in the 4th tier for the first time since before 1963. However, they won promotion and after two games and two wins sit TOP of the 3 Liga this term! pic.twitter.com/aULgBOjrqE
The German leagues are a very underrated option for EA FC 26 Career Mode.
With three divisions to climb through and a ton of stadiums, even in Bundesliga 2, it’s a great choice.
That makes MSV Duisburg the hipster’s choice for a Road to Glory Career Mode save.
The German club were DFB Pokal finalists in 2011 but dropped all the way to the fourth division.
After earning promotion last season, they’re smashing Germany’s third division in real life with six wins out of six.
Repeat Wrexham’s heroics of three consecutive promotions without the Hollywood budget.
Take a comfy retirement with Inter Miami and Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi is reportedly close to signing a multi-year contract extension with Inter Miami, according to ESPN 👀 pic.twitter.com/XwnZxueWoO

A more relaxed choice, why not try to walk the MLS with Lionel Messi?
Enjoy the sun along with Inter Miami’s legendary players at Chase Stadium, one of the new stadiums in EA FC 26.
However, after a season or two, this will suddenly get a bit trickier.
With such an ageing squad, preparing for the future and trying to replace some of Barcelona’s former greats will not be easy.
Make history with Telstar in the Netherlands
Telstar have returned to Eredivisie, the Netherlands’ top league, for the first time in 47 years.
This is the first time the club has ever been featured in an EA Sports game.
Already massive underdogs, you can make this even more difficult by placing strict financial restrictions on yourself, as the team had to invest heavily in its stadium.
And for added realism, try to do what most Eredivisie teams do and focus on developing young talent for sale.
Make sure you make at least one major sale every season to keep the team’s funding stable.
