Even more roster changes are happening in the Counter-Strike 2 esports scene and now the community is baffled.
In an announcement nobody expected, it was revealed that Russel ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken will be leaving Team Liquid after FISSURE Playground 2.
Speaking on the superstar’s departure, Liquid stated:
“We want to thank Russ for his flexibility, adapting to the roles we needed him in and working hard to achieve his best every time he joined the server.
The CS2 esports tournament will conclude this week, with Team Liquid currently struggling in the Swiss Stages.
And with the event still ongoing, it still hasn’t been confirmed who Liquid will be replacing Twistzz with.
However, Twistzz’s next move has already been confirmed as he has returned to FaZe Clan.
This was probably not what Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen meant by “Now it’s back to the old FaZe Clan.”
FaZe confirmed that the Canadian will compete for them at the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 22 tournament.
Speaking about starting his second stint on the team, Twistzz said:
“Feeling speechless the last days. After Fissure, I will make a longer post.
“As for now, I’m very happy and thankful to reunite with the organisation and the players.
“Going to focus on the current event and get this roster some points before exiting. Thank you once again for the warm welcome and support.”

FaZe are also competing at FISSURE Playground 2. They suffered their first defeat of the tournament earlier today against Team Falcons.
Because of the ongoing event, it also hasn’t been confirmed who Twistzz will replace in the FaZe roster.
Securing the talents of Twistzz will likely boost FaZe in the eyes of CS2 betting sites, but it’s hard to judge until the roster is confirmed.
Who will Twistzz replace on FaZe CS2 roster?
Unsurprisingly, the community is running wild with speculation on who exactly Twistzz is going to replace on FaZe’s roster.
The team only recently signed Jakub ‘jcobbb’ Pietruszewski.
FaZe were disappointed to only reach the London BLAST Open quarter-finals, which is the only full tournament jcobbb has played with the team.
Now, many are speculating that jcobbb could be leaving just one month after joining. Especially as he has now blacked out his profile on socials.
Another possibility is 31-year-old Håvard “rain” Nygaard.
The Norwegian pro has been with FaZe for nine years and recently told Esports News UK he sees a “bright future” for the team.
However, having had another kid recently, it’s possible that rain will suddenly retire in order to spend more time with his family.
