League of Legends Darkin champion Zaahen abilities leaked

A new leak has potentially given us a better idea of how League of Legends’ next champion, Zaahen, will work.

Zaahen is expected to be LoL’s 172nd champion and is rumoured to be a new Darkin character.

Especially with the in-game teaser of Atakhan sporting a Darkin Glaive on his arm.

Zaahen will be the fifth Darkin champion in the game, following up from Aatrox, Naafiri, Varus, and Rhaast, the red form of Kayn.

Now, according to prominent leaker BigBadBear, we have an idea of what Zaahen’s LoL abilities will be.

Zaahen’s passive will allegedly entail some sort of buff that he will stack during combat.

After reaching a certain threshold of stacks, Zaahen will be granted lifesteal in some way and some sort of revive.

Revives have always been controversial in LoL.

Everyone hated Akshan’s revive when it was released, it has made Zilean a useful pick in pro play, and Chemtech Soul had to be completely reworked.

Zaahen’s Q is said to be an empowered auto-attack with some kind of CC, making it like Leona’s point and click stun.

As for his W, it is believed Zaahen will be able to pull enemies towards him.

And the leak also claims Zaahen will be able to dash while slashing around in an AoE attack and slow with his E.

There is still currently no information on Zaahen’s Ultimate ability which will likely define his kit.

Still, judging from this leaked kit, it does appear that the rumours of Zaahen being a fighter are true.

He will probably be a top-laner or jungler, so those hoping for a Darkin support will be left disappointed.

Though there is always the possibility that he’s a tank support, perhaps the lifesteal and revive will go to his bot lane partner.

League of Legends is testing a new draft feature

Another small leak that came out today is that LoL is testing a new feature for picks and bans.

Earlier in the year, Riot Games released great new features for new LoL players.

They made it so you can view videos of champions’ abilities during the draft.

Now, SkinSpotlights has datamined a new feature that will make champions hovered by teammates during the draft unbannable.

Rioter Chris ‘Auberaun’ Roberts confirmed this is coming to the PBE:

“We’re going to be experimenting with this around 15.20 on a few servers and monitoring things like dodge & report rates + your feedback.

“Overall thinking is valuing agency to play a pick more than agency to ban absolutely anything.

“When your first interaction with a new team is having an ally ban the champion you want to spend the next 30 minutes playing, that already starts things off on a really negative note.”
