Manchester City football club have released a brand new line of esports clothing based on the Premier League club’s kit.
The new esports jersey, made by Puma, is mostly the same as Man City’s home shirt but replaces the white stripe with a black one
The top was revealed by Dutch defender Nathan Ake while Manchester City’s official Twitter joked the kit had been put into dark mode.
Flip the switch… Dark mode activated.

One superstar who won’t be wearing the new shirt is Donovan ‘Tekkz’ Hunt.
EA FC superstar Tekkz recently departed Manchester City Esports and is presumably still looking for a team for EA FC 26.
Though the team did recently bring back another English EA FC competitor in Shaun ‘Shellzz’ Springette.
Shellzz originally competed in FIFA for UNILAD and Manchester City. He has now returned to the football club as a content creator.
The Man City Esports jersey costs £45 on their online store, but that can increase up to £61 with custom printing.
Strangely, there are preset options to get Man City men’s and women’s footballers on the back, but none of City’s esports pros.
The new esports collection also features a £90 jacket, which is primarily black with a sky blue trim.
Time to dust off some classics.

Manchester City’s history in esports
Manchester City have been competing in esports since 2016, primarily in FIFA/EA FC but also partially in Fortnite.
The Premier League football club won the ePremier League with Shellzz back in 2019.
Tekkz and Matías ‘Bonanno’ Bonannothen also won the two most recent ePremier League seasons.
This makes Manchester City the first club to win the ePremier League twice.
Esports betting sites would have had them as favourites to win again, but the departure of Tekkz changes things.
Tekkz and Bonanno also qualified for this year’s Esports World Cup, with Tekkz finishing in the top eight.
Man City tried to qualify for the 2024 Esports World Cup in Fortnite too, but narrowly missed out in the North American qualifiers.
However, City have had some success in Fortnite, as Jarvis ‘Kwanti’ Duong and Aidan ‘Threats’ Mong won DreamHack San Diego in 2023.
Manchester City is approaching its tenth year in esports and is set to compete in the upcoming EA FC 26.
Bonanno is still with the club and Man City also signed Brazilian pro Gustavo ‘GugaFerraz’ Ferraz earlier this year.
