Fissure Playground Belgrade 2025

All 16 Fissure Playground 2 teams have now been confirmed.

More powerful teams have entered the competition compared to Fissure Playground 1, so which teams are likely to rise and which could fall?

All Fissure Playground 2 teams: confirmed

The 16 teams competing in Fissure Playground 2 are as follows:

  • TheMongolZ
  • Team Falcons
  • Aurora Gaming
  • FaZe Clan
  • FURIA G2 Esports
  • Gamer Legion
  • HEROIC
  • 3DMAX
  • Virtus.pro
  • Astralis
  • paiN Gaming
  • Team Liquid
  • Lynn Vision Gaming
  • TYLOO
  • Legacy

Team Falcons, Aurora Gaming, FURIA, G2 Esports, Virtus.pro, and Astralis were the first six teams confirmed on August 6th. The remaining ten teams were revealed on August 19th.

The highest-placed team in the VRS (Valve Regional Standings) Global Ranking that is heading to Fissure Playground 2 is The MongolZ. They currently sit in fourth place, behind Team Vitality, Team Spirit, and MOUZ.

Joining The MongolZ as top-ten VRS Global teams are FURIA, Team Falcons, FaZe Clan, Astralis, and Fissure Playground 1 winners, TYLOO.

Team Liquid is the lowest-ranked roster in the competition at 26th in the VRS. After a string of highly disappointing LAN performances, including being humiliatingly defeated by an academy team, they are on a long road to redemption.

Who will rise and who may fall in Belgrade?

So far in 2025, The MongolZ have enjoyed a relatively successful season. Despite not picking up title wins, they have finished in a strong position across several LANs.

Most notably, The MongolZ recently reached the BLAST Bounty Fall 2025 final, securing second place, and the BLAST Austin Major 2025 final. Despite losing to Team Vitality in Austin, the Mongolian team were able to win a map against the European powerhouse team.

Their recent advances up the VRS leaderboard and LAN final appearances will make The MongolZ a favourite to win Fissure Playground 2 on Counter-Strike betting sites

Defending Fissure Playground 1 winners TYLOO are also in good standing to reclaim their title. They did not lose a single game in their July Fissure Playground run and will look to replicate this success.

Team Falcons did not attend Fissure Playground 1. Instead, they focused their attention on IEM Cologne, which began three days after Fissure Playground 1’s conclusion.

However, the Team Falcons IEM Cologne journey ended in a crash out, demonstrating the initial failure of their Hail Mary player signing of Maksim ‘kyousuke’ Lukin. They have accepted their Fissure Playground 2 invitation, but will need to prove themselves against FURIA, the team responsible for their humbling IEM Cologne exit.

Fissure Playground 2 Format

Hosted in Belgrade, Serbia, the Fissure Playground 2 LAN is held across two stages.

The Swiss Stage runs from September 12th to 17th. All matches are held as a best-of-three. The top eight teams proceed to the main event, the Playoffs, running from September 19th to 21st.

Fissure Playground’s Playoffs stage is a classic single-elimination bracket, featuring Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and a best-of-five Grand Final. There is no third and fourth place decider match. Both positions carry a $40,000 USD (~£29,650 GBP) prize.

Tournament runner-ups will receive $100,000 USD (~£74,128 GBP), and the winners take home a healthy $200,000 USD (~£148,255 GBP).
