The Year 5 Split 2 ALGS Groups have been revealed for all four regions.
Following the Pro League roster lock on August 17th, newly formed rosters will be competing in the ALGS (Apex Legends Global Series). Which Groups have your favourite teams been placed in, and which will be most exciting to watch?
How does the Pro League system work?
In the ALGS, 30 teams are split into three groups of 10 in each region. These groups are labelled Group A, B, and C. Groups will play each other in rotation within their region, competing in six sets of six games.
This round-robin Group Stage format is designed for teams to accumulate points through placement and kills, forming the Regional Standings.
Dates for regional Split 2 games can be found on the official ALGS Year 5 homepage.
The top 20 teams in each region compete in a Regional Final at the end of the Split to determine the final standings and qualification for the ALGS Championship. For Year 5, the ALGS Championship will be held in Sapporo, Japan, in January 2026.
The Americas ALGS Split 2 Groups
In the Americas, the 30 competing ALGS Groups are as follows:
Group A | Group B | Group C |
Team Falcons | Ninjas In Pyjamas | 100 Thieves |
Sentinels | ROC Esports | Shopify Rebellion |
ZZ | DKK LFO | Twisted Minds |
TSM | Team Liquid Alienware | Virtus.pro |
ex-Team Orchid | CTE | Movistar Koi |
Nice Guys | Thuggets | LG |
Flat | Ape Gang | 5Star |
LeaveNoWitnesses | No Name | Team Inferno |
The Durags | DMG | Legacy Kingdom |
Ni Had Nuggets | Unreal Nightmare | DGAP |
Team Falcons in Group A are still seeking the success they experienced during the ALGS Open LAN in May 2025.
Leaked footage of chaotic bootcamp shouting led some to believe that the roster would change in the summer transfer window. However, the team has stayed intact, and with the CEO of Apex on side, they will likely remain favourites to perform well on esports betting sites.
Nevertheless, Group C is likely to be one of the most challenging groups, with 100 Thieves, Shopify Rebellion, and Virtus.pro.
Virtus.pro recently signed experienced IGL Matthew ‘Emtee’ Trengove. He previously played with Brody ‘Xynew’ Geissler and Israel ‘Koyful’ Lawrence on Shopify Rebellion. So he will be competing each week against his former teammates.
EMEA ALGS Split 2 Groups
In EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), the 30 competing ALGS Groups are as follows:
Group A | Group B | Group C |
Alliance | Team Nemesis | NAVI |
Zero Tenacity | MOUZ | GoNext |
o7 | EVOs | Shalala |
FaZe Clan | Nephilim | Trojan |
Passion | ONIC | NVMI |
Zipline Mafia | SJP2 | On Dogs |
UAIM | Cybercats | VCGO |
Killer Whales | Legion Gaming | POT |
SPS | Take Flyte | Nameless |
FUL | NOMB | SLR |
For the EMEA region, any Group with Alliance automatically labels that Group as one of the most challenging. For Split 2’s ALGS Groups, this is Group A. Despite their struggle to win LAN titles since the 2024 Esports World Cup, Alliance are undoubtedly one of the best Apex Legends teams in the world.
The roster of John ‘Hakis’ Hakansson, Miron ‘Effect’ Novikov, and Andre ‘unlucky’ Turk have been competing together since February 2024. Effect and Hakis have been playing together on Alliance since November 2022. Their well-established team dynamic and stunning fragging power make them a force to be reckoned with.
Joining Alliance in Group A is FaZe Clan. Although FaZe Clan have struggled in Year 5 so far, the roster is full of surprises. After causing chaos in the ALGS EMEA Regional Finals’ 11-game monstrosity of a series, it became evident that they can be highly unpredictable.
Additionally, Group A has the intrigue of watching experienced players Casper ‘Gnaske’ Præstensgaard and Francisco ‘k4shera’ Alves nurture new talent Adam ‘AdaM_zZ’ Fekkari.
APAC-North ALGS Split 2 Groups
In APAC North (Asia-Pacific North, primarily Korea and Japan), the 30 competing ALGS Groups are as follows:
Group A | Group B | Group C |
Enter Force.36 | FNATIC | Unlimit |
RRX | KINOTROPE GAMING | SBI E-Sports |
NOEZ FOXX | BABO | Black Sheeps |
Meteor | REJECT | Realize Nova |
WQTAKO | LFT Newb | ARNEB |
Dosukoi Impact | Soten | WhiteGrimReaper |
Striderz | Teqwing | TIE |
Kyoubijuiijan | ICIGEKI | RIDDLE ORDER |
Dory | Know About Me | Realize Abyss |
RUA | Potetan | Stargazer |
A key team to watch in the APAC-North region is RIDDLE in Group C. Their roster for Split 2 is Takamasa ‘Meltstera’ Kawai, Shoichi ‘Taida’ Takahashi, and new addition Yuta ‘mo-mon’ Oshima.
Meltstera and Taida have both had standout moments in the ALGS, and although mo-mon has not found success in Year 5 so far, his performance on FENNEL in 2024 shows he has potential. Therefore, the team could be a dominant force in the ALGS Group.
Group B will also be a challenging Group to compete in, with FNATIC, REJECT, and KINOTROPE GAMING all competing in Group B games.
APAC-South ALGS Split 2 Groups
In APAC-South (Asia-Pacific South), the 30 competing ALGS Groups are as follows:
Group A | Group B | Group C |
VK Gaming | Gen.G Esports | Al Qadsiah Esports |
Wolves Esports | Rival Esports | S8UL |
JD Gaming | DeepCross Gaming | EDward Gaming |
DOA IBU | Tom Yum Kung | Boogie Boarders |
MDYB | Team Mango | HAVOC |
KeepGoing | Remarkable Team | KAKKOII |
Bearclaw Gaming | Vegas Inferno | StinkyB |
REVO Fitness | CTRLALTDELETE | The Boys |
RUKUS | Bad Aim Team | SMILEW |
NML | Silly Billies | Meraki |
The APAC-South ALGS Group A will be an interesting group to watch. VK Gaming recently won the Apex Legends Midseason Playoffs at the Esports World Cup, but their MVP for the tournament, Chen ‘QQ’ Yin-hong, has been made inactive on the roster. ‘BJJS_012’ will take their place.
However, Groups B and C also feature interesting teams, making APAC-South an entertainment guarantee.
Gen.G Esports and Tom Yum Kung in Group B show what experienced ALGS talent brings to the table. In particular, the Gen.G roster of Jirayut ‘Z1CKKY’ Apiwongngam, Papangkorn ‘ASIAZXD’ Pattarawonghan, and Lertpong ‘Dexter’ Nakurai are one of the longest-standing ALGS rosters, having competed together since 2023.
When does ALGS Split 2 start?
ALGS Split 2 begins for all regions across the weekend of August 30th-31st. The Split ends with the Regional Finals, which will take place on October 12th.
