Riot Games is continuing to reach into the mobile gaming market, this time with the launch of Valorant Mobile on August 19th. The mobile 5v5 first-person tactical shooter is currently only planned for release in China.
China’s Valorant Mobile launch video was revealed in the early hours of August 18th (in UK time), backed by the music of Canadian rapper and musician, ‘bbno$’.
Valorant Mobile launches in China, with no release confirmed for Global distribution as of yet
Valorant Mobile is officially launching in China on August 19th for iOS and Android. Rewards are available for pre-registered players in the region.
There are already plans for a Valorant Mobile esports ecosystem after the game launches globally. Valorant betting sites will likely anticipate dominance from Asian regions in this scene, given the popularity of mobile games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang across the region.

Core elements of the 5v5 character-based first-person tactical shooter will be carried over. However, PC and console players will find some differences in the game’s mobile version, including certain features and character designs.
There will be 18 agents available for play. Nine maps are included on launch, with 10 game modes and mobile-exclusive skins and content.
As with any game transitioning between PC, console, and mobile, Riot Games will adjust aim assist to fit input control accuracy. Other input and platform adjustments will include frame rate, graphics, and layout to ensure the game runs smoothly.

Good news for all players: Riot is making sure even low-end “potato” phones can run the game smoothly! 🥔⚡

Additionally, Valorant Mobile will include two new mobile-exclusive maps. Shipyard and Ancient Village are tailored for the mobile format. As with any Valorant map design, players can likely look out for more information on Valorant lore.
Notably, Valorant Mobile will introduce the replay system. This has been a feature in high demand from players since the game’s launch in 2020. Riot Games was able to show off Valorant’s replay system for the first time in May 2025.
While the system is confirmed to be heading to PC and console, it has not yet rolled out. However, Valorant Mobile should include the feature on launch.
Rumours continue to circulate as to when Valorant Mobile will launch globally. Although some believe that the global rollout will be announced at Valorant Champions Paris (September-October 2025), this is unconfirmed by Riot Games.
Valorant’s “in my zone” music video launches with bbno$
Leading up to the Valorant Mobile release, bbno$ teased his involvement in the project with posts joking about Riot Games NDA’s and posting pictures of him at the Riot Games HQ.

He also posted a video where he taped “Jayvik” fan art around the headquarters. “Jayvik” is a popular fan theory regarding League of Legends and Arcane characters Jayce and Viktor.
As many may already know, the two characters are often reimagined by fans as being a gay couple (likely encouraged by the characters’ widely observed chemistry in Arcane).
The videos of bbno$ spreading the League of Legends fan art threw some Riot Games players a red herring. Some assumed that involvement in League of Legends esports was the reason for his visit, predicting a bbno$ League of Legends World Championship theme song.
Alas, this is still unconfirmed. Currently, his Valorant Mobile collaboration will have to satisfy.
“In my zone” is not bbno$’s first collaboration with Valorant and Riot Games. The popular Canadian artist and social media maverick also featured on the Valorant Champions 2023 theme “Ticking Away” with Grabbitz.
He has also consistently made strides in the streaming, gaming, and content creation world. Earlier in 2025, he also released the song “1-800” in collaboration with popular V-Tuber Ironmouse. Pushing his creative approach to social media advertising, he famously cosplayed as the V-Tuber.
