EA FC esports star Vejrgang signs for Team Falcons but after Esports World Cup

EA FC esports star Vejrgang signs for Team Falcons after EWC

One of the world’s best EA FC 25 players, Anders ‘Vejrgang’ Vejrgang, has officially joined Team Falcons from RBLZ Gaming.

However, the transfer won’t happen until after the biggest tournament of the year, the FC Pro World Championship at the Esports World Cup, has concluded.

Vejrgang is the reigning EA FC World Champion and is currently ranked number one in the FC Pro rankings.

He won this year’s FC Pro Open 2025 and finished runner-up in the Virtual Bundesliga and the lucrative eChampions League.

Now, he is understandably the favourite on esports betting sites to be crowned world champion again.

The 19-year-old Dane was already notorious in the FIFA/EA FC competitive scene before he even became a pro player.

At just 14 years of age, he recorded a 535-game FUT Champions win streak, which is beyond ridiculous considering the randomness of the game.

He has since brought that level of domination to the esports scene, crushing last year’s World Championship final 7-0.

Strange timing of Team Falcons signing Vejrgang

This year’s World Championship is taking place directly at the Esports World Cup instead of being a separate event.

Which makes the timing of this transfer all the more confusing.

Vejrgang will still represent RBLZ Gaming, the esports team of football club Red Bull Leipzig, at the FC Pro World Championship.

Meaning, Team Falcons won’t benefit from Vejrgang’s strong performances until the release of EA FC 26.

Of course, it’s good to be prepared for the next year of the football simulator’s esports tournaments.

But not having Vejrgang at EWC could make a huge financial difference, considering how the Esports World Cup Club Championship works.

The $27m (£20m) Club Championship rewards the organisation that performs best across the Esports World Cup’s 26 events.

Team Falcons won this profitable award last year and are currently in the lead of this year’s rankings, having won the Overwatch Championship Series and finishing second in Chess and Dota 2.

However, Team Liquid aren’t far behind with wins in both Chess and MLBB’s Mid Season Cup.

If Falcons had signed Vejrgang before the extended deadline of May 31st, they would have had yet another EWC tournament favourite.

And that could make all the difference come the final EWC Club Championship 2025 rankings, which is looking very close.

Falcons still have an accomplished pro at this year’s EA FC championships in the Saudi Arabian pro, Ahmad ‘AbuMakkah‘ Mujahid.

They also have a rich history in the esport with the team’s founder, Mossad ‘Msdossary’ Aldossary, a former FIFA esports World Champion.
