A small Korean BBQ restaurant will face off against former Worlds competitors and could get promoted into one of League of Legends’ major esports leagues.
A team called “Yang Dae Pal Korean BBQ Restaurant” won the 2025 Nusantara Cup, a LoL tournament in Indonesia.
That victory earned the team a little under $500 USD (£373) and, more importantly, a place in the LoL Championship Pacific (LCP) 2026 Promotion.
This means the local restaurant in Jakarta will compete to earn promotion into the LCP, the premier LoL tournament of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
The restaurant is not only bringing Korean food to Indonesia’s capital but also Korean culture by being good at League of Legends.
Presumably, sponsoring this LoL team is a clever marketing tactic to spread awareness of their local business.
Yang Dae Pal also has a couple of TikToks with over 500k views, including one about the cow intestine they offer on the menu.

The LCP is seemingly going to continue to be intertwined with food, as Yang Dae Pal is not the first to connect the two.
Earlier this month, Riot Games gave chicken to over 2000 LoL fans after CFO’s MSI heroics.
The LoL Taiwan Facebook page promised to give out free fried chicken cutlets for each kill and win the team earned at the international event.
What Riot probably didn’t expect CTC Flying Oyster to go as far in the tournament as they did.
Yet, CFO will probably cause more upsets at Worlds this year and will have good odds on LoL betting sites.
They became the first APAC team to win a main-stage international best-of-five in 13 years by defeating LEC champions Movistar KOI.
What is the LCP Promotion 2026?
At the end of the year, a promotional tournament will be held to decide which guest teams will earn promotion and compete in the LCP in 2026.
The LCP features teams from across Southeast Asia and Oceania, including Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, Hong Kong, and Australia.
It’s a very competitive league with CFO causing numerous upsets at MSI and First Stand international tournaments.
And recently, PSG returned to LoL and brought Maple out of retirement to make the division even stronger.
But before Yang Dae Pal can even worry about that, they will face intense competition for promotion.

LCP Promotion 2026 will feature a couple of current LCP teams which, judging by recent results, could be former Worlds representatives Chiefs Esports Club and DetonatioN FocusMe.
Promotion 2026 will also feature other representatives from Vietnam, Taiwan, Australia, Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore/Malaysia, and South Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives).
